Hey divas I am so excited about todays blog! First off happy Monday and we are one step closer to Thanksgiving. Get ready because I am gearing up some great blog and gift ideas for you this holiday season. So make sure you check back for all those details. Kicking off my holiday gift guide I thought this would be the perfect gift for any diva.
I have had the opportunity to partner with Dear John Denim to bring you an exclusive look of a pair of their amazing jeans. Let me ask you this..Is your booty happy? Does your jeans make you look fierce. Do your jeans make a statement? If not I have the perfect pair of jeans for you!
So let’s get this straight I maybe skinny but that doesn’t mean everything fits me let alone looks good on me. When Dear John reached out to me, I was excited but then a little apprehensive to even try a pair. Not because their jeans don’t look amazing but I was not sure which size to choose. I ended up choosing the Maverick in a size 24. Maverick is a dark wash skinny jean. Ladies let me tell you these jeans have super stretch and they are long. What i mean by long they don’t stop directly at the ankle. I long longer jeans especially int eh winter. Great for stuffing in your boots and keeping your ankles warm! The denim, fit style and wash are great and they also enhanced my little bum bum..
Dear John offers a variety of jeans from skinny to flare, straight, girlfriend and crop. Take you pick I promise you won’t be disappointed. Dear John Denim has officially been added to my gift guide list! Make sure your booty is happy this holiday season!
I have you 2 looks in one just by switching out my cardigan and jacket. My geometric print cardigan is from Shein. It’s thick and the perfect topper that can be dressed up or down. I wanted to show these jeans off and match of course with my pearl theme so I applied this dark blue pearl jacket also from Shein. I thought my grey pearl sweater would break up all this blue perfectly. This sweater is old from Jcpenny but still int eh good fight! I will leave a link below to a similar look. Let’s not forget my peal beret! I have been feening over berets as you know and this one will definitely be making it’s appearance a lot this winter. My oldie but newly worn boots are from Justfab!
xo happy fashion divas!
Today’s motivational Monday topic is about success I promised I would talk about this subject. Success! How do you measure success? There are so many ways to feel, think, believe that you are successful. Below are a few important key factors in being successful
The truth is success is not determined about the materialistic things you have or what you have gained. It more about being content and at peace at where you are in your current situations. You see we all want the glamorous life, the big house, fancy car, money flowing out the bank, pretty much unlimited resources.
Let’s try to flip that, instead of wanting but instead being grateful for you do have and know that success is. It determined by riches or even how fast you obtain those things. We all are running our own race all at different speeds and times. What God has for you is for you. If it doesn’t come right away that doesn’t means its not coming. Be patient and keep on pushing forward. We are all successful in our own ways.
Now for these sweet outfit details. This lace bell sleeve blouse is from versona off the clearance rack. I paired it with this floral skirt from the loft. I decided to keep my foot or, basic with these knee high taupe boots from JcPenny. This is a perfect day to night or work wear look. Simply but classy.
Make this week count divas. Xo happy fashion.

It’s no secret I get cold very easily, I am that o e friend that carries a sweater all year around. This look can be worn with a chunky over sized cardigan. I chose this burnt orange not only to match with my booties but it’s my favorite grandma sweater. It is the epitome of sweater weather!!
Topping this look off will be my olde but goody brown tweed slacks. I purchased these babies about 4 years ago from my favorite store New York and Company. I love the composition of the leopard print and the tweed paired together. They don’t compete with each other but compliment the entire look. What do you think?

Hey divas… it’s that time again motivational Monday. Part 2to the goal series. Be honest do you like these types of blogs? I hon still like writing these blogs to help inspire myself just as much to inspire you. I have come along way I promise I will spill out my entire life story one of these days…. and I don’t care if you judge any of it because it has made me who I am today. As I am still growing and learning through this thing we call life, I continue to make life goals for my self weather they are short or long term.
Now ladies we are driven by time. Let’s be honest by the age of 16 you should’ve obtained your drivers license and had your first kiss. By the age of 21 you should’ve graduated college and fell madly in love with the star basketball player or an engineer nerd (hence I married an aerospace engineer) and landed your dream job. By 25 you either married your prince or bought a house and a year later you had a baby. By the age of 30 you now had your PHD if you are a book worm or you are a big CEO of a fashion company and are on the board of directors for a girls mentoring program and let’s not forget you love being active in church…. okay okay you get what I’m the truth is nothing goes our way and time definitely doesn’t wait for your specific plans or go according to them either.
I’ve had to learn to roll with whatever God and that day, year gave me. None of the above things happened for me in that way. Matter fact they all happened when I stopped thinking and focusing on what society said I should have now.
This weeks objectives:
- Stop looking and listening to what everyone else has
- Set a specific goal it must be clear and well defined and measurable .
- Don’t base your goals on time. Time is delicate and should not be waisted as we know it goes fast. So instead make attainable goals and jump! Starting today, even if starting means researching and writing down a step process, or figuring out what it is you’re going to do. A plan of action.
- Relevant: make
- Start telling yourself daily that you can,you will, be successful ( please note that we will be discussing that word successful in another blog as it’s often misunderstood.
Now what’s even more crazy is that I sat here writ g this blog for syou all and something told me to just google how to attainable, relevant and time. Girl get out of here. The way I have ordered mine are not in that order but clearly we can I’m onto something. Look at God won’t he do it!
Okay divas I leave you with this let’s kick time in the butt and put our pen to that paper our fingers to the keyboard and get started today! No more ifs ands or buts. I claim it that you are more than who you think you are.
Xo happy fashion divas.

I am going to close my eyes and pretend it’s getting cold here in Georgia! That’s the easiest way for me to write this blog. I have all my basic essentials lined up ready for when that cool breeze tickles my nose. Well I still have some shopping to do before I can 100% say I’m ready. Matter fact I’m never ready because I am forever shopping. But ladies I’ll tell you this I am on a shopping fast till Black Friday. Do you think I can do it? That’s a long stretch. If I do purchase anything it will be Christmas gifts.
If you know me I’m so not a basic person. I barely have regular t-shirts in my wardrobe. So this is a good way to mix up basic with my over the topness!
1. Shirt Dress
Ladies shirt dresses are amazing for fall. I will even go as far as saying a long tunic will work in place of a shirt dress. These pieces are great to go from fall to winter. As you can wear it as a dress, or put leggings underneath for the colder days. These pieces can easily be dressed up or down depending on the style and material.
Now please I repeat please.. let’s not do the dreaded camel toe ladies!!! It’s so not cute and honestly no one wants to see that. Okay now.. leggings.. they pair great with a shirt dress, tunics and skirts. Lately I have seen the cutest prints out lately.. I’m not wearing leggings with this looks but coming up on the block I definitely will be serving you some eye candy. Please not theres a difference between leggings and tights!
Fedoras and berets are trending hard right now. I must admit I have a few fedoras already in my closet but for berets I had to toss them.. they were so old, time for an update. Once again catch some of my blogs coming up as I will be featuring some of these hats on the blog.
If you have been following me on Instagram you will know that booties are life right now! Lol I can’t help myself.. if I see them and they are different.. and if they call my name lol, hey are coming with me. No but seriously booties come in all different heel heights, shapes and sizes. From stiletto to block heel, to pointed toe to rounder toe even open toe. Take your pick. I have been finding my booties at Shoedazzle and Justfab. I have linked my referral codes. Anything with embroidery, prints, suede of course and leather are trending!
5. Longline Duster
I love long vest, dusters, kimonos.. these add just an extra pop to any basic outfit. These are essential for those fall nights or even in the office when it’s a bit cold and you want to cover up in style. Once again plaid, animal print and embroidered styles are trending. I will leave some links below.
These are my fab 5 basic fall essentials what are yours? Let me know in the comment section below. Details to this outfit are linked below. Xo Happy Fashion Divas
Hey divas, I’m back with a special collaboration today. I am collaborating with some of my soul sisters. I have been living in Georgia for 4 years now and honestly I’m just now finding true friends that share the same love for fashion of course, women empowerment, self love, morals, values and standards. This collaboration is special because this is a collaboration with my new ATL girl squad our theme… can you guess?
Okay so here are 5 reasons why you need a #girlsquad.
- Accountability: Have women in your squad that will hold you accountable. Somobeone that will make sure you ar doin g what you should and not what you think.
- Friendship: We all need love and friendship. But friendship with a set of women that make you live, laugh and love and that will be honest about what you say, or wear. Yep then that’s a friend. I am the type of person that will pick lint from your head, place your shirt tag back inside your shirt. I’m loyal and I cherish my friends.
- unique balance: the ladies in my squad all are unique. We all bring different qualities and attributes that make us all different but provides a central balance amongst us all. Ladies let’s be real it’s known for us not to get along…. let me say it again… we are known to be petty shady and yes double cross each other if it benefits ourselves. However surround yourself around women who value you and will be that balance in your life. For example you always. Red hat silly one in the group because when you are down you can always count on that one person to make you smile! I amknow for being an over the top diva. But these ladies are also over the top diva in their own way and I absolutely love it.
- Growth: this is very important. As I look back over the years I can definitely see my growth in life… and you should too. But that didn’t just happen because of me. 1. Is God of course. 2. Family 3. My girl squad. Make sure you have people who are always pushing you to do better. Just as much as you empowering them. We all have dreams and goals and yes life gets hard. But we are all in thsinto win! Even if winning means making it till tomorrow. It always good to have long and short term goals to achieve and make sure your girls hold you accountable!
- Empower: this go hand in hand with growth. In order to grow you must be empowered. Who or what do you find inspiration from. My true inspiration has come from my other and as I meet more beautiful young women I beocme more empowered. Empowered to do better, to do more, to empower other women to love the skin their in…. yep that’s my tag line for my blog! But it trust love you and you will be able to have a bomb girl squad!
- Is my bonus most of all have fun. Life is so short and life happens daily. Don’t get caught in a rut. Live tou life to the fullest and why not do that with your girl squad!
I am sure you all are dying to find out all the details on our outfits. As I mentioned in one of my earlier blogs that animal is trending for this fall and winter. So me and the girls decided to do our own take on how we would style animal print.
Up first me of course. I decided to do a simple all black 2 piece outfit. If you know me I love 2 piece outfits. I see them as very versatile and you can make endless options by matching th skit or top with with a different item in your closet. This 2 piece out comes from New York and Company from the Eva Mendes collection. The top is actually a bodysuit and I usually wear a size xsmall but this fits small. I had to size up.
I decided to add leopard print assecories with a belt and earrings from Rue 21, purse was gifted but it’s Betsy Johnson, and my oh so lovely booties from ShoeDazzle.
Thats it keep it simple and classy.

My girl Kisha is all thing classy and vintage. I truly love how she always stays true to her self and always breaks the “fashion boundaries” in a unique way. I had no idea what any of these ladies were going to wear but we all decided that Black was a good common ground in out outfits. I love how she took a classic look of a pinstripe ruffle coloutte with a high neck blouse. She added the leopard print with her bag and shoes and don’t forget her cute fishnet bow socks. For more details on her look check out her blog and make sure to follower her Instagram for daily inspiration
I will forever say that’s Daniesha does an amazing job with mixing basics with classy pieces. This is an area I lack in. So I have definitely been taking some tips from her. I love how she took a simple screen T-shirt and jazzed it up with this lovely circle leopard print skirt. She topped this look off with a cute hat, knee high boots and the perfect little purse. Many of my followers have requested I do a work wear blog. So that’s exactly what I’ll do! My question for you is… are you a girl boss? What makes you a boss, what goals have you set for yourself and how do you plan to execute your goals. Well while you think about that in order to be a boss you have to dress like one.
To be honest I have always liked classy, professional clothing the majority of my. Loathing was made up of it. I have finically mastered sizing and fit that’s perfect for me. Here’s a helpful tip try to shop at department stores even the “pricey” stores you can always find coupons, discounts and sales. I recommend this because the fit for this type of clothing will ultimately fit better than the cheaper stores. I recommend checking out New York & Company, The Loft Outlet, Express and Macys.
Let’s get into this outfit. So the mall near me just opened up a new Loft Outlet and I was so excited!! Since we are headed into fall I totally bypassed all of the sweet summer discounts…. well maybe for now. I first found these tailored straight leg off blue almost grey pants. Ladies I got these in a size 0 and they fit perfectly.
I found this matching white blouse also on clearance but offered a pop of yellow and mint green that goes great with the pants. To top this look off I found a matching cardigan. I am forever old especially in the office. I swear I need to go cardigan shopping! I paired this outfit with my teal Coach bag and white heels.
How will you be stepping into work? This outfit says hi I am here ready to work with some class.
