Fashion Is My Voice
Have you ever felt lost in a crowd..not noticeable almost like you are invisible? I have found that many people feel this way, I know I have. Finding your voice is one of many factors to self love.
My twin aka my mom often would say never loose your voice. Coming from a broken family household I often saw my mother’s voice being limited. I didn’t understand her words then, but I often found myself trying to fit in with the latest fashion…that never looked good on me. It wasn’t until I was in undergrad at Norfolk State University when I realized, I can’t run to the store and just buy anything.. There’s an actual science, remedy a method to this. Once I developed my own style, this is when my voice developed.
Since then my style has changed and has become more fashionable but it relates to who I am creatively. To me fashion is art! Your voice is not just the words that you speak but by the way you creatively express yourself. Once I found my voice, I feel alive, bold and I love myself just that much more.

Meet Emanee
Hello Divas,
My name is Ayesha! Emanee is my middle name, Emanee best fits my inner diva. I am originally from San Diego California, and I love, to eat, shop, sleep and repeat! I am the youngest of 5 and I definitely am and old soul with a whole lot of spunk! I have been known to be the life of the party.
I moved to Virginia when I was 18 and attended Norfolk State University. “Behold the Green and Gold” I earned my bachelors degree in Business Marketing. In college is where I gained my self confidence to love me for me. I also gave my life to Christ which was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself. I graduated and moved on to obtaining my MBA in Business and Technology. I soon landed a job in Atlanta GA and married the love of my life.
My love for fashion came from growing up skinny! I used to sketch long ball gowns and watch my mother shop, and dress as if she was always on stage somewhere. My mother was the one who always taught us to “always look your best no matter where you are going…you never know who you will meet!”
I created this blog to inspire all women to love the inner and outer you. I have many stories from my past and present that shape the way I put together outfits. I hope you enjoy the stories and snap shot of my life while being inspired!
This Blog is dedicated to my mom and you lovely Divas!

Dancing in the Sunshine
What physical trait most defines you? That’s an odd question! I ask this because, being skinny, my long hair and my big ears is what has always defined me. Till this day people can’t believe that my hair is real. To every skinny joke under the sun to being deemed Dumbo for my ears.
However My hair, skinny frame and big ears are actually my best traits! Society wants you to believe that having big boobs, thick hips and a booty will make you feel more like a women. So not true! God gave me exactly what I needed. Lord only knows what women I would be if I had all the other things I just listed. My hair can go form curly to straight.. my small frame allows me to even shop in the kids section (winning) and my ears.. I chalk that up Ms. Tyra banks and calling them FIERCE!
This outfit has me feeling like I am dancing in the sunshine back in the 70’s. From the off the shoulder white blouse, boyfriend painted semi cuffed rips jeans. I added these knotted yellow espadrille wedges to decorate my feet and a simple yellow and pink tulip scarf to ask a headband.
I love simple outfits that look so well put together. How do you embrace your most hated physical traits? Have you grown to love them?

High Fashion & a Bentley Continental GT
Growing up in the inner city of San Diego California, I was not exposed to all of the many arts, high society clubs, luxury cars and many other things. I wouldn’t say I was raised in the ghetto. However my parents did the best they could. Well we did have the biggest house on the block and many people thought we were rich. Rich in money? No! But rich in style yes.. Both of my parents new how to dress and instilled that in my brothers and sisters. My mother would always tell me “Always dress to impress, you never know who you will met.” I intend to always dress my best.
Flashing into present day my husband was raised the same way however was exposed to luxury in many different ways. However we have the same mindset although we come form different locations and background! It amazing how you can meet someone who is just like you! My husband is an Aerospace Engineer, who loves all things, trains, plane and automobiles. He is a natural for tech gadgets and things that go fast. Totally opposite of me.
We were recently invited to the Bentley Reveal party of the all new Bentley Continental GT (Grand Touring). Let me give this car a moment of silence… Okay so when you think of Bentley you think of high class, fancy, red carpet right? Well I at least do and so does my husband. We didn’t know who we would meet let alone network with.. I of course dressed us both and figured, lace, and suede always look rich.
My outfit is from Dillards. this is one of the dresses i purchased during the New Year’s sale. I snag this beauty for more than a bargain! Te detailing on this dress is exquisite as it actually fades to different shade of burgundy. There’s a nice lining underneath that stops right at the knee leaving the rest of the lace see-thru. I paired this lace Antonio Melani dress with my burgundy suede JustFab heels. My husband was fitted in a matching burgundy blazer and black lapel.. fitted black slack pants and “custom” made shoes.. okay they are not custom made but the way they match this blazer one would think so.
For any car lovers out there check out the full Bentley Continental GT technical review form my husband Ben Wayne . Enjoy!
How has your past shaped your present? Are you more than grateful for thing your parents taught you even if you had access to luxury things in life? I am more than appreciative for what I did, didn’t and now have.

My Fair Lady – Audrey Hepburn Inspired
Doesn’t spring make you think of bright colors, hats and the races? Well I have actually never been to the races.. which is crazy because I grew up in California and the Del Mar Race track is right there.. maybe I can venture to the races soon with my hubster! that would be fun.
This outfit is giving me Audrey Hepburn “My Fair Lady” when she wore the big hat at the races 🙂 I love Audrey and her classic style. Of course New York and Company got me right on this look. I am in love with these paper bag waist tapered pants. Bright daffodil yellow is such a great color as it’s bold but sexy I paired these pants with a statement black and white blouse. The cute details on this blouse are amazing form it’s bell pleated sleeves to the bow tie back closure. I decided to wear my studded black strapped heels with these just to elevate the look.. And why not add a matching stripe hat to top off the look.
How would you wear this look?

When in Doubt Wear Red!
When is Doubt Wear Red! I am loving this sleek fitted power dress form New York & Company the Eva Mendes line. This dress is a thin sweeter material, however it kept me pretty warm. the detailing of the fabric blend is awesome. It’s not like painted on striped this is actually woven. I love a good woven print, it reads expensive. If you are looking to be bold, this dress is for you. By the way Eva just dropped her Spring collections and this dress now comes in YELLOW!! Go check it out! I kept my accessories very simple. With my tie up block heels, gold earrings and my stunna shades.. 🙂
It’s Thursday so what are your pre-weekend plans..?

Goals!
“I have learned that as long as I hold fast to my beliefs and values – and follow my own moral compass – then the only expectations I need to live up to are my own.”
– Michelle Obama.
I am holding onto my beliefs in God, morals, values and my goals. It has been a struggle to push myself to do more. Not that I am not doing enough but I have always been someone with multiple projects going or jobs. Now as a married women I am finding that things are changing.. for the good 🙂 I have ideas that I really would like to explore I just need to take that leap and become that true “Girl Boss” I already am!
This outfit is an representation of me right now. Solid green jumpsuit with a matching green tassel necklace. Shows my strength and stability on the outside. The shoes are funky in print which has always been the inner me. I added the black and white to show the contrast of my ideas form being bright to dark of where I need to step into the light and jump into my dreams and ideas!
What are you inspirations for this week?

Linen and Floral
Let’s keep it simple and sweet.. it’s once again freezing and I am trying to pump out spring blogs to make me warm!
This outfit is giving me mom vibes.. As I grow older…Hold up I am not that old.. but as I grow older I feel like I am morphing into my mom. that’s not a bad thing either! I am loving this bell sleeve floral shirt from Shop Dress Up. You can pair a simple pair of jeans with this blouse but I opted for my wide leg linen pants from Victoria Secret. Yes these pants are old but faithful! I slipped on my lovely denim wedge Heels from JustFab and added my teal Coach bag to bring in a contrasting color.
How are you preparing for Spring?

Friday Vibes with Stripes
Friday Vibes.. You have no idea how happy I am that it’s Friday! Ant this all stripe and pop of silver outfit is setting my fashion sense free. Matching sets have been in trend for the past 2 years. I think it’s funny that people find this trend to be knew.. it’s not it’s just been revamped from the 70’s and 80’s.
This entire outfit is from… can you guess??? NY & Company.. I can’t help but to shop there they always get me right! This outfit is no long online but can be found in stores. I love the ankle pants that NY & Company has to offer. As the cut and fit are just right.. They also have a good amount of stretch. The top is made out of a chiffon material with a cotton underlay! perfect for those spring and summer days!
I paired this look with my silver JustFab oxfords.. just to give this look some added flare.
What are your Friday plans?
