Denim and Headwraps

I truly am a grandma at heart. I have always been called an old soul, or the little old lady from Pasadena-that my sister calls me. But this outfit truly take me to my inner old lady. why because this is something my mom or grandma would wear. My mom isn’t an old lady but she’s a grandma so she fits into that category!

This outfit is not made for old women but just embraces that old ole 70’s vibes mixed with modern flare. Eva Mendes does a great job with embracing her culture, heritage and inspirations form her loved ones. I absolutely love this denim chambray ruffle skirt. It comes with a denim belt, and lime green and purple buttons down the front. I can’t get enough of this carmel colored crochet sleeveless top. It is so light weight and just goes perfectly with this skirt.

I topped this look off with my colorful head wrap from Bold looks and headwraps, a crochet side satchel and matching brown block heels.

Puckering Floral Spring Outfit

Hi Divas,

I know I know it’s been so long.. but the weather here in Georgia has been crap and every time I try to get a good photo shoot it gets rained out. I have several transitional spring inspired outfits that will be on the blog.

First up is this lovely hot pink floral, Carmen Miranda inspired outfit. Yes it’s all that! First these pants are A-mazing, if you are short like me you will have to get these pants hymned. NY & Company usually offers their wide leg in petite but not these, which is totally fine. However the floral print on these pants are piping hot and lets not forget the corset detailing on the front. I paired these pants with a hot pink ruffle top. I wanted something basic for the top and for the bottom. My shoes are of course Justfab and ladies these heels are high not going to lie but I needed a high heel to accentuate these wide leg pants. Roaring in hot pink with it’s 3 straps and a zipper back, these heels will the perfect match. I decided to throw in my yellow purse and a light pink head wrap to pull out some of the other colors in the pants. Ladies this outfit is perfect for spring and transitioning into spring. You can easily throw on a light jacket and will be ready to conquer the day!

How are you transitioning into spring?

Fall into Autumn

FullSizeRender 3IMG_0907.JPGIMG_0926.JPGFullSizeRender-1IMG_0918.JPG

First off I’m Back!!! I kinda.. cough cough got married and took a break off from my blog.. however I will be uploading details about my dress, veil, shoes and all the other wedding goodies! so stayed tuned for that!

Divas Fall is amongst us.. I truly love summer.. but it’s time to kick it in to gear and dust off those jackets, boots and sweaters.. Well not quite yet, here in Georgia we are still hitting the 80’s with a brisk cool start. eek I am not a fan of cold to hot.. Anyways let’s get to this blog post.

JustFab sent me these “Rayleene booties to review.. and I must say I love them! However I thought the color would be more “Green Olive” versus the brown olive.. but thats okay I now have another excuse to shop for olive booties.. and does it sound like I am disappointed.. They are very comfortable, it comes with a faux tassel zipper and a workable zipper on the inside.. the cool thing is that the zipper trims the opening of the boot!

I kept this look pretty basic if you know what I mean. I threw on a pair of high waisted legging  Soho jeans from New York and Company. These leggings are so comfortable I must say.. I must be getting old because I am loving just the ease of comfortable clothing. I paired this look with a simple creme blouse that has lace detailing around the neckline and topped it off with a leopard print bomber jacket also from NY&Co.

Ease into fall with comfort and class. xo happy Fashion Divas

How to Pick the Perfect Outfit

IMG_0639IMG_0636IMG_0640.JPGIMG_0641IMG_0596.JPG

Motivate yourself by looking good. many times I wake up in a blah mood.. I uplift my spirits by praying in the morning and of course picking out the perfect outfit for the day. In order to pick the perfect outfit I take in consideration a couple of factors:

  1. The weather
  2. What color I feel like wearing
  3. Dress, pants, or skirt
  4. Shoes: heels, flats, boot or sandals

Once you narrow down your options then you can begin to mix and match pieces in your wardrobe. Thats exactly what I did with this outfit. I pulled out this blushing blue bow tie puffy cap sleeve blouse that I have had for years.. It’ one of those shirts that you love and can never get rid of.. Pairing this blouse with this napkin print full midi skirt from NY&CO Eva Mendes line. Ladies if you are looking for a great printed full midi skirt check out Eva’s line I promise you will be pleased. To top of this day to night look I decided to pair it with my blue and green two toned Coach purse and my caged blue suede heels. Ladies now you are ready to conquer the day!! Enjoy your weekend and Happy Fashion Divas.
