I’m still on my motivational high from yesterday. Can you tell me? I am sure most of you have seen all the God is Dope ads on Facebook and Instagram. Well, I just had to support this locally owned business. Why?
- God is Dope
- Faith-based clothing to help the youth be inspired to believe in God!
- Affordable and quality is awesome
You all know that my faith in God runs deep and to me, this t-shirt just isn’t a trend. I am a big advocate of reaching people-bringing them to Christ in multiple ways. Everyone’s calling is different and in today’s society, our youth are easily pulled further away from religion. No doubt that this happens to many of us as some grow up in church and stray away live and learn and then eventually come back. For others like me who didn’t grow up in church, I found Christ in a whole another way. (let me know if you would like to hear my story) I use to sing in the choir along with some of my best friends from high school and while I was in college I praise danced (Below is a picture of me when I used to PRaise dance for Majestic Movement) There are many different ways that one may minister too. Fashion, music, dance, bible study the list goes on. I think it’s Dope that this line exist and it’s what everyone needs right about now!
These t-shirts are amazing quality, affordable and you can honestly style them however you want! I chose to use this as my work-out or running errands t-shirt. Since this pandemic hit this was the perfect opportunity for me to start to get fit? Yes, you may ask why would a skinny person need to get fit? Just because I’m skinny doesn’t mean I’m in the best of health. I still have to eat right and workout to stay just as healthy as anyone else.
Morning walks have been key for me. Starting the day with a clear mind, meditation, and reading my devotional helps kick start my day in the right direction. I plan to add yoga to my routine as one of my good friends have been telling me to do it.. (do you remember that song Do it Do it by Cherish?) I know I’m forever taking it back..
What is your morning routine? have you shopped the God is Dope line? and how do you style your tees? Maybe I should do a styling session on a t-shirt. Let me know if you would like a how-to style a tee blog. Stay Safe, Healthy, and faithful!

It’s been a long past couple of weeks with highs and lows. Have you ever had something that constantly reoccurs? I truly feel like it’s God’s way of testing me. I can’t help but wonder, have I not passed the test?
Honestly, during this year I have had time to do some reflecting and self-evaluation. These tests that I am being put through are pushing me out of my comfort zone. It has not been easy it’s more like growing pains.
I found that James 1:2-4 helped me get through these weeks “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
We may not be perfect but God places trials and tribulations in our life not to hurt us but to push us to be more faithful more like him and stronger. Not just strong for ourselves but for the ones around us and the ones we have not yet met. Your story your life is not in vain. Today move forward with faith. Faith knowing that God will carry you through and all your heart’s desires will be answered according to God’s will. Being tested? Look at it as a step closer to God’s will for you.
Stay encouraged, Have a good week! Xo happy Fashion

Purpose and Passion is the theme for March. My hopes are to dig deep this month and finding your purpose which equals your passion. I have talked about this before lightly. However I think it’s a good time to revisit this. Not only for you all to be motivated but me as well. I tend to have atones of ideas, thoughts, passions and goals and some i never execute. However I am so exited that I have my girl tribe. IF you haven’t read my blog post about why you need a girl tribe check it out here.
Anyways let’s dive into this Faith In fashion motivation. “Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve.” Jeremiah 32:19. This month I tend to explore some of my goals and my purpose. Truly write and define and try to execute the ones that truly reflect my purpose. I want you all to write a goal, define and execute. let’s see how far we get this month! It will be interesting, well for me anyways. Are you ready to Conquer March ladies? Remember the theme is Purpose and Passion. Let’s rock your purpose in style.
For this outfit, I wanted to a do a super classy and chic look. I mixed a little bit of old with new! You all know I love New York and Company, and I just had to snag this Gabrielle Union overalls that were on super clearance! No longer available however they have something similar! I love the cute adjustable buckles that snap in the back. This skinny pant leg overalls will set you apart especially in the office! I paired it with this roaring blue leopard blouse form JcPenny.. cough cough years ago. But the way I switch out my clothes you would think it was new! Topping this look off with a sequin beret and stank heel faux suede booties did the trick. And let’s not forget my blue floral and leather moto jacket. this was a major find and steal from TjMaxx a few years ago. Don’t sleep on the steals.

Have you ever felt lost in a crowd..not noticeable almost like you are invisible? I have found that many people feel this way, I know I have. Finding your voice is one of many factors to self love.
My twin aka my mom often would say never loose your voice. Coming from a broken family household I often saw my mother’s voice being limited. I didn’t understand her words then, but I often found myself trying to fit in with the latest fashion…that never looked good on me. It wasn’t until I was in undergrad at Norfolk State University when I realized, I can’t run to the store and just buy anything.. There’s an actual science, remedy a method to this. Once I developed my own style, this is when my voice developed.
Since then my style has changed and has become more fashionable but it relates to who I am creatively. To me fashion is art! Your voice is not just the words that you speak but by the way you creatively express yourself. Once I found my voice, I feel alive, bold and I love myself just that much more.
