Denim and Headwraps

I truly am a grandma at heart. I have always been called an old soul, or the little old lady from Pasadena-that my sister calls me. But this outfit truly take me to my inner old lady. why because this is something my mom or grandma would wear. My mom isn’t an old lady but she’s a grandma so she fits into that category!

IMG_5054

This outfit is not made for old women but just embraces that old ole 70’s vibes mixed with modern flare. Eva Mendes does a great job with embracing her culture, heritage and inspirations form her loved ones. I absolutely love this denim chambray ruffle skirt. It comes with a denim belt, and lime green and purple buttons down the front. I can’t get enough of this carmel colored crochet sleeveless top. It is so light weight and just goes perfectly with this skirt.

I topped this look off with my colorful head wrap from Bold looks and headwraps, a crochet side satchel and matching brown block heels.

This look is so simple and cute and can be worn anywhere.. I just may wear this to work this week :)!

Maxi Dress Dreamin

I have been on the hunt for summer maxi dresses. Lately I haven’t seen any that I truly fell in love with. However you know my girl Eva Mendes (collection) – from New York and Company always comes through! Every since I did my closet clear out I only have a few maxi dresses in my wardrobe. Adding this beauty was a must.

IMG_5330

Maxi dresses are like jumpsuits to me! Super classy easy outfit all in an instant. you can easily dress them up or down once again depending on the material. This dress is super light weight and I encourage you to wear a slip or shorts underneath as it’s a bit see-thru. There wasn’t  much for me to add to this dress as it speaks for itself.

I topped this look off with these dazzling blue beaded earrings from JCPenney, my purple fringe heels and bam. Sexy and cool outfit!

It’s that time again for another collaboration with some of my favorite fashionistas. The Fab 5 Fashionistas are at it again, and of course we are serving you with our favorite Eva Mendes pieces from New York and Company. We recently did a collaboration with Gabrielle Union line, if you missed it check it out here. It just wouldn’t be right if we didn’t give you some Eva fashion inspiration.

IMG_4782

Eva has classic pieces that are so easy to mix and match from season to season. I had so much fun collaborating with my girls are we each love Eva. We all chose different styles whether they are old or new, that is the joy of mixing and matching clothes.

IMG_4780

For my look I chose a classic shirt dress….as if I need a another dress in my closet.. But you can’t go wrong with a simple cotton shirt dress. What I love most is that it’s lightweight, it buttons midway and has this amazing detail on the back.

IMG_4777

I jazzed this lovely lilac shirt dress with a multi colored snake print belt and matching heels. now ladies I purchased these shoes from shoedazzle a few years ago.. there’s no way I ever imagined of finding a matching belt years later. Thanks to ebay, I found this belt for only $9!  If you are not into purple, no worries this dress comes in yellow and white.

How would you rock a simple shirt dress?

As you all know that I petite and just skinny lol.. I so wish I would look like this in Lydia’s outfit! Eva makes her clothes for all shapes and sizes. let’s just pause, Lydia made this look easy. She too also has the dreamy ruffle white off the shoulder top, which I totally love! She paired this with Eva’s yellow pencil skirt. ILydia pushed the limits of this outfit by adding a black belt with a blue and white stripe heels.. I think I may have flatlined.. Can I say stylish!!! Find out more details to Lydia’s look here.

Did yaull love I love lace and crochet? I have not blogged about this a lot, however Reyni’s look is flashing me back to my wedding. The soft green and crochet that this outfit has to offer is amazing! Eva has done it again with bringing vintage style to new heights. The soft green crop top is a perfect match for the crochet green with a pop of cream underlay. But wait….my girl had the nerve.. yes the nerve to hit this with the rose gold heels. I think I need a glass of water this outfit is so hot!! I would have never thought to pair this together, but if you look closely the green has a hint of gold in it. How awesome is that! Find out all the fab details here.

As I grow through my blog, I find myself finding more and more inspiration from these ladies.. make sure to check out all the fab details on their blog! What are some of your Eva pieces, and if you have never shopped this collection head on over to NY & Company she has a new collection out.

5 Tips For A Date Night Outfit

IMG_4333IMG_4331IMG_4327IMG_4330IMG_4335IMG_4328

Divas I’m serving you 5 fab tips for your date night. let’s dive right in.

  1. Location: knowing where you are going is key. If it’s a surprise try to play it safe and pick an outfit that is not to casual and not to dressy. However my family and friends always say I am over the top.. and I must admit, I can be at times but at least I stay true to myself. I always usually dress fancy when going out.
  2. Good under garments: I am flat chested.. that’s no secret.. I am def apart of the itty-bitty-titty committee but that does NOT stop me from wearing a good supportive bra. Yes supportive because I have to fake it till I make it :). Panties matter too. If you are not a thong girl you can always find seamless underwear at Victoria Secret, Macy’s, Dillards or even TJMAXX. I repeat do not..do not wear form fitting clothes and have your pantie line showing. That’s a complete no no.
  3. Dress for your body type: If this is a date with a special someone. you want to put your best foot forward. I say this because we all want to be respected and love for who we are on the inside.. not the outside. treat yourself with respect first by dressing appropriately to your size.
  4. Hair & Makeup:
    1. Hair: Yes this matters. Most women know this. However I allow the clothes to speak to me and dictate weather I wear my  hair up, down, bun, or curly. usually sleek looks like a good body wave or a bun look good for date nights. but you be the one to choose. (Let me know if you would like for me to post date night hairstyles)
    2. Makeup: I am not one to totally speak on makeup as I barely wear any. However I like to believe less is more.. Show your inner beauty and let the makeup accentuate what you already have.
  5. Accessories:
    1. Shoes: I like to find shoes that will add color or a pattern to my outfit. There are so many varieties out to today to fit your specific style and foot needs. Try JustFab who even carry wide width. DSW is my next favorite one stop shop.
    2. Jewelry : Depending if you are dressing fancy or casual, simple hoops, or diamond drop studs are always staple jewelry pieces for me. I always like to have a single solitaire diamond necklace and a bracelet to spice things up. Macy’s, Charming Charlie, or even New York and Company always have great deals on fashion statement jewelry.
    3. Purse: Make sure your purse is big but cute enough to hold these essentials: lipstick or lip balm, tissue, phone, wallet, keys, travel perfume, gum or mint, touch up makeup and some cash.
    4. Cover up: depending on what season it is.. don’t be afraid to carry a light sweater or a cute leather jacket just in case it gets cold.

What are some of your favorite date night tips?

IMG_4079IMG_4081IMG_4083IMG_4078IMG_4077IMG_4082

Come through Spring! It is heating up here in Georgia. Although it’s a nasty rainy Monday.. it’s heating up to the upper 60’s.. This weekend was gorgeous as I was able to pull out some of my spring wardrobe to share with you all.

You all know I love Eva Mendes collection! I actually purchased this shirt a while ago when I met her! Yes I totally met her.. how awesome is that! This screen-T is so fun and cute.. it even features fun sparkles on the lip print and even her beauty mark. I decided to pair this shirt with some good old Joggers.. however these have a flower print and skinny ankle. These joggers are made for spring and summer as they are a light satin material, but not shinny. I topped this look off with my ultra red lace up heels form JustFab and the coordinating Eva Mendes tote! Did I forget to mention all items can be found at NY & Company ? Bam this is a easy look.

Happy Holidays a Christmas Outfit

FullSizeRender_3FullSizeRenderFullSizeRender_2FullSizeRender_1IMG_2939

This one will be a quick blog as I hope everyone is enjoying Christmas Eve with family and friends. I am more than excited for the holidays this year as it’s my first Christmas as Mrs. Laremont, a wife and as a married couple! Let’s dive right into what I’m wearing for the Holidays.

Well I think we all know I had to be fly in my girl Eva Mendes. It wouldn’t be a holiday blog without Eva or New York and Company! Eva just recently dropper her fabulous winter collection and this outfit is one of them. starting from this gorgeous lace bodysuit with a chiffon wrap front blouse. Ladies I absolutely love this blouse. It is gorgeous sexy and sophisticated all at the same time. I paired this blouse with the matching red rose contrast black skirt that flares out. I love skirts like this, as it gives my petite frame a shape!

For my accessories I chose these black polka dot stockings from Nordstroms, my JustFab lace up heels and of course a fur coat to keep warm. That’s it! this outfit makes for the perfect holiday party, date night look!

Let’s not forget the real meaning of Christmas!

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2: 11-14

Teal Cable Knit Sweater

FullSizeRenderFullSizeRender_1FullSizeRender_2FullSizeRender_3FullSizeRender_4

BRRR… who felt that cold breeze this morning?  Sometimes my best motivation is getting up and putting on “feel good” clothes.. That means a sophisticated look! Iv’e been in my chill mode lately and have not been featuring any of my classy looks!

I swear Eva Mendes always gets me right! With her timeless elegant looks, I truly have  weakness for her designs. I am loving the color teal right now, as it’s one of the must have colors for fall and winter 2017! I actually have a similar all burgundy and a all white skirt and top assemble like this teal one. This cable knitted skirt loves to hug…or make you look like you have curves! The skirt is very stretchy and comfortable and honestly it’s the perfect length. I opted for the sleeveless ribbed turtleneck shell and draped with bell sleeve zip up jacket! This look can be worn with booties, pumps or like I did with these opened toed JustFab heels. I love adding prints with solids to give the look for character.  xo Happy Fashion Divas!
