I’m still on my motivational high from yesterday. Can you tell me? I am sure most of you have seen all the God is Dope ads on Facebook and Instagram. Well, I just had to support this locally owned business. Why?
- God is Dope
- Faith-based clothing to help the youth be inspired to believe in God!
- Affordable and quality is awesome
You all know that my faith in God runs deep and to me, this t-shirt just isn’t a trend. I am a big advocate of reaching people-bringing them to Christ in multiple ways. Everyone’s calling is different and in today’s society, our youth are easily pulled further away from religion. No doubt that this happens to many of us as some grow up in church and stray away live and learn and then eventually come back. For others like me who didn’t grow up in church, I found Christ in a whole another way. (let me know if you would like to hear my story) I use to sing in the choir along with some of my best friends from high school and while I was in college I praise danced (Below is a picture of me when I used to PRaise dance for Majestic Movement) There are many different ways that one may minister too. Fashion, music, dance, bible study the list goes on. I think it’s Dope that this line exist and it’s what everyone needs right about now!
These t-shirts are amazing quality, affordable and you can honestly style them however you want! I chose to use this as my work-out or running errands t-shirt. Since this pandemic hit this was the perfect opportunity for me to start to get fit? Yes, you may ask why would a skinny person need to get fit? Just because I’m skinny doesn’t mean I’m in the best of health. I still have to eat right and workout to stay just as healthy as anyone else.
Morning walks have been key for me. Starting the day with a clear mind, meditation, and reading my devotional helps kick start my day in the right direction. I plan to add yoga to my routine as one of my good friends have been telling me to do it.. (do you remember that song Do it Do it by Cherish?) I know I’m forever taking it back..
What is your morning routine? have you shopped the God is Dope line? and how do you style your tees? Maybe I should do a styling session on a t-shirt. Let me know if you would like a how-to style a tee blog. Stay Safe, Healthy, and faithful!

Hi, ladybugs and fashionistas I swear when I have a baby- and if it’s a girl her nickname will be ladybug! As time passes and the virus lingers – many people are opting to say “F” and return to normal. But what is the new normal? Should we still take precautions or should we be in the mindset of whatever happens-happens? I think that is truly up the individual but I for one will not be living life as I use too. I already can be a pretty germophobic person when it comes to certain things. I already carried hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes all of that with me and I never use to touch the pumps at the gas station. So today I will be sharing where I have been finding my essentials without having to go to the store for these items.
Places to Shop for your Essentials
- Instacart: I decided to try Instacart for the first time. I must admit there are some learning curves. However, I have been ordering for about 6 weeks now and I have been pretty satisfied with the delivery. The app itself is easy to use. Finding products depend on the location of the store you are ordering from. You aren’t able to change the store location- location is based on your delivery location. I honestly prefer the Kroger that is 15 minutes from my house instead of the one that is 5 minutes. However I can’t be that picky in the middle of all this. My shoppers all have been great with texting me via the app if an item is not available or sending me pictures of the items. Although the app says you are unable to add an item after the shopper has started shopping – I have added items and the shopper gladly found it. All shoppers have delivered in a timely fashion and have been pleasant. Now the learning curve is when you are trying to order fruit and vegetables. For example: when it says to select the amount tomatoes it doesn’t mean a bunch (on a vine) it means 1 – single tomato. I messed up and order 1 banana and received 1 banana. Also, don’t forget you will be charged a delivery fee and you must tip your shopper this can add an extra $6-$10 depending on location. If you sign up for the $9 delivery service for a month you will max that out within 2 deliveries trust me its a good deal! My overall experience has been great!
- Sam Club: Offers a pickup service in my area they are not yet on Instacart so I decided to order the items online and pick it up. What I didn’t know was that I would have to go in and pick up my items at the guest services counter. This experience was ok. I can’t give it 5 stars because I waited in my car for 10 minutes after I had selected the “I’m Here” button to notify the employees that I was there and waiting in the loading zone. Upon going in both times my order was ready but you have to bring in your basket for them to load your cart up. You are allowed to designate someone else to pick up your order if need be. If any of your items are not available for pickup they will ship it to you within the next 3-5 days. I will order again only because walking through Costco or Sams can be crazy – after I do that run I need a nap.
- Amazon: As we all know Amazon was probably the first place everyone went shopping when the pandemic broke out and delivery options were pushed out to 3 weeks or longer. Amazon is getting back to normal as I have only had to wait 3 days for my items which is pretty much back to their 2-day shipping. Certain items are still out of stock. However I recently I decided to passion twist my hair and I order hair, accessories, and everything I would need to create this style, and surprisingly I was so pleased! Please with the quality of the hair and my order came within a week instead of 3.
- Pick up Services: Mostly every grocery, clothing stores, restaurants, and other convenient stores are offering pickup services.
As time goes on places are opening up and people are trying to find the new normal. I will be shelling in place for a while until I see the curve declining. I still do not feel comfortable venturing out to heavily populated places without masks, gloves, and sanitizer. I have faith and yes God is still in control but I will do my best to stay siloed a little while longer. oh yes, and a helpful tip, before bringing in your groceries it’s a good idea to wipe all of your items off with Clorox wipes except fruit and veggies. Those can be washed off! How have you been obtaining your essentials?
Outfit During the Rona
Let me give you the details of this outfit. I’m calling my summer vibes with this one. The dress is Giani Bini – purchased this cute little number from Poshmark for $15. My cute high top sneakers are from Justfab – beware the sizing is off so I would size up a whole shoe size but for the price I paid I am not mad. The hat is also from Justfab, and my purse is old from TjMaxx.

Hi Fashionistas, as we know there is a shortage of household cleaning products, hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Toilet paper being the most odd on the list during this time.I have yet to figure out how toilet paper will keep you safe during this pandemic. However among many cleaning supplies you can actually make. Sometimes I like to put on my Molly DIY outfit and make it myself.. Here’s a disclaimer, DO NOT MIX CHEMICALS! for example alcohol and Clorox, or ammonia and Clorox.. that equates to a serious gaseous bomb in your kitchen. Since hand sanitizer is on the rise I thought I could give you a quick easy recipe to make your own. Also if you have kids please do not allow them to use this in large consumption as it can irritate their skin!
Hand sanitizer recipe
What you’ll need:
3/4 cup of isopropyl or rubbing alcohol (99 percent)
1/4 cup of aloe vera gel (to help keep your hands smooth and to counteract the harshness of alcohol)
10 drops of essential oil, such as lavender oil, or you can use lemon juice instead
Pour all ingredients into a bowl, ideally one with a pouring spout like a glass measuring container.
Mix with a spoon and then beat with a whisk to turn the sanitizer into a gel.
Pour the ingredients into an empty bottle for easy use, and label it “hand sanitizer.”
Want more information on hand sanitizers check out the information from the CDC
I would only use this for extreme cases. Stick to washing you hands with soap and water as much as possible.
Okay so let’s get into this outfit. Every year I feature jumpsuits on my blog. You must know by now, that they are one of my favorite staples in my closet. Jumpsuit make a quick and stylish outfit even on your worse days. Believe it or not I needed a black jumpsuit. I have one in my closet but it’s old and needs to be retired. Thanks to my fashionistas over at Fabrik they gifted me this black utility tie waist jumpsuit. When I purchase clothes I try to find versatile pieces that I can interchange for work and play. This jumpsuit meets all the requirements. It’s super light weight, it buttons down the from and gives that professional look. I paired it with a cute fruit purse. Speaking of which you know I love fruit. For my footwork, these Katy Perry rubiks cube inspired low suede heels did the trick.
How are you staying safe and fashionable these days?

A New Year and decade is upon us. Are you ready to have 20/20 vision in 2020? Let’s be real for a second we are all currently writing down our new years resolutions, getting our New Years outfit together to hit the town all glitz and glammed up. I have many outfits I can put on to drink some bubbly and party hard until the clock strikes midnight. Thats what New ears is all about right?
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-17
Not quite in my eyes, A new year, a new beginning a new start or is it taking what you have learned from the previous year and applying it to the next. Or is it just another year to stay alive, to fight thorough, to turn goals and dreams into reality. Or is just another year to plan an extravagant vacations, to dine in the most lavish restaurants, hotels, to buy expensive purses watches or to snap many selfies and see how many like you can get on instagram and Facebook? Let’s just take a minute to truly reflect what a New Year means.
To me its God promises and vision that he has for us individually. A new Year to praise him harder, to give thanks for the smaller things to be able to even take another breath and to eat your moms delicious sweet potato pie again. Okay okay maybe not the pie part. For a new year is actually just another day, because God renews us daily. Allow him, he will strengthen you, teach you, walk with you if you have that listening ear. He will give you that 20/20 vision to see things differently and all the blessings that he in 2020 has and will bestow upon you. Don’t get me wrong see is not believing and believing is not seeing, we all know it’s truly hard sometimes but that’s the joy “to walk in darkness is to walk in the light with the lord!”
I have had many visions and dreams, in 2020 I truly plan to execute some of my most wildest dreams God willing. What are some of your 2020 goals? here are a few of mine below:
- Start a business
- workout (I’ve said this so many times..but I truly plan on becoming more…fit?)
- Stress and worry less
- Be on fire for the lord
- seriously get my blog off the ground (stop playing you know you are a boss)
Remember you don’t need glasses, or even eyes to see when you have God, he will always give you 20/20 vision to see! Happy New year Divas. May the lord bestow your wildest dreams on you this year. Love you all for the love and support!

Hey ladies, yes it’s been forever since I have written a blog. But why not come back the last month of the year. I am determined to finish it off with a blast!Whelp we are in full swing of the holiday season. If you follow me on Instagram I hinted that December is one of my favorite months. I will be sharing why and starting off my 12 days of holiday glam outfits this month as well. So buckle up and hold on tight cause I plan to make this December a bang.
Growing Up Without Christmas
Only my closes friends know that I absolutely love December because of Christmas. It’s not just the gifts, or the holiday cheer that gets me all in a frenzy, however there’s a deeper meaning behind it. I grew up muslim, not barely celebrating any holiday’s besides thanksgiving and my birthday only because my mom demanded my day to allow us too. However deep in my soul, I knew one day I would be Christian. When my parents officially spilt when I was in High school my mom asked what would you like to do. I said please take me to church, and that she did. We attended and soon became members of her childhood church Bethel A.M.E Methodist Church in San Diego California. I was soon baptized and even joined the youth choir. Please don’t ask me to sing as i really can’t but I definitely put on a solo concert for friends and family lol!! Anyways. I ventured down the new Christian path with my best-friend Vanessa. We both shared similar struggles going up as we held onto each other tight and allowed God to blossom through us!
From there of course Christmas was filled with more than a meaning of just gifts but a true estimate of What God brought me through and who I was becoming. This may sound odd but the death of my parents marriage was the birth of my spiritual connection to God. I truly think my other for heeding to God’s voice and listening and knowing that she had to move in another direction in order to give her children a future.
The entire month of December brings me warm and fuzzy cheerful delight with my family and friends. Although my brothers and sisters all live in different states, that never stops us form talking just about everyday. The holiday season tends to bring us closer together as we share a special bond and cherish this month for it’s a different meaning of light for our family.
What makes you most happy about this season? Do you and your family have any special traditions? I’ll share one of mine. Every year at midnight when the Clock strikes 12 and it is Christmas day, I get up bless the house and read the birth of Christ. We pray and may even sing a song a two. I actually started this tradition years ago and now has carried on with my husband! I am eager to hear what it is you all do?
So let’s get into this first holiday look. This is definitely a little bit of old and new mixed together to create the perfect pop! Starting form head to toe. You all have seen this luxe green velvet blazer that comes from my favorite New years shopping place… cough cough Dillards of course. Pairing it with this fuzzy mixed with velvet bow with a bling broach adds the perfect touch for the top! No necklace needed! I purchased this sweater from Poshmark but it still available at Zara. Who doesn’t like gold trousers. I do. I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect gold trousers and of course New York & Company came through. I topped this look off with a pair of patent black loafers or of course my matching green velvet heels.

Happy Monday Divas! I’m feeling refreshed and revitalized today. I have some goals to work on this week and I plan to accomplish them. I can honestly say that this year has brought me many “mini breakdowns” so I am thriving to do better with controlling my ups and downs and looking at the downs as ups and the ups as UPs!
It’s Monday and we often get what we call the Monday Blues.. I don’t know why but everyone praises Friday for the weekend.. However Friday is the end to Monday and Monday allows us to start of fresh. We should praise each day like it’s our last! Today’s motivational quote comes from Charles R. Swindoll. He states that “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
I totally agree! Far too often I have flown off the handle and literally spiraled out of control i my mind with anger, sadness, beating myself up or whatever the situation may be.. my reactions were totally uncalled for. I have even taken it out on the people I love. or just snapped lol.. I am laughing now but it’s not funny in the mist of it because not everything “bad” that happens is truly bad. It can be a warning sign and a blessing from God!
Since I have been trying to look at all things positively, it has changed my mindset to feel “stress free.” Instead of living on the edge and living more in line with that God has for you even if that means something doesn’t go your way it’s okay because there’s always a better plan right down the road!
I thought I would do a Monday shot mixed with business and casual. Why because that’s how our minds are! Well at least mine is. We still want to have the comfort of the weekend but with our game face on!
My houndstooth red and black blazer is from my sis Kisha this was a vintage thrifted item I found on her site at Kisharosetreasures.com. Chic out her website as she has awesome apparel and jewelry! By the way this is not an ad just one boss queen supporting another! Of course I had to find a Monday t-shirt.. why not it’s Monday! This t-shirt can be found at Fab’rik along with so many other other cute designs. I decided to put this look with a pair of tuxedo chinos form the express.. These pants were giving to me from a friend! However I have linked some styles down below. My cheetah print sneakers tie this entire look together and yes they are form Fab’rik as well! Don’t see your size there’s tons of inventory in a Fab’rik store near you.

Hey ladies, I’ve been a bit MIA trying to start some new business ventures, trying to dive into some new job opportunities and of course trying o maintain this blog and content for you all. I admit I have been failing at it horribly but I haven’t given up.. Hey sometimes we need a break and then to get back up and try again. This year has been rough but I am trying to plan for the months ahead and hit 2020 with a bang. Yep already projecting out 2020.
I just wanted to share with you ladies that over the weekend was my 2 year wedding anniversary with my superhero.. my husband Benjamin. What a joyous milestone to accomplish and it feels so wonderful!
I wanted to share with you all my outfit details. I originally bought this 2 piece nautical outfit from Zara unfortunately it’s sold out but don’t worry I found the same outfit on Shein! I like to call this a status print with the nautical rope and chain detail. It’s absolutely stunning and can easily go from day to night.
You all know I love a good two piece outfit and I am still not ready to get into my high heels since my surgery. The top is actually a sheer tank top with a cape overlay. It adds an elegant touch to this outfit. The pants hit right at the ankle and has a side zipper. the over all material is satin and polyester but feels so silky and comfortable. The best thing about this was that it didn’t make me hot! Perfect for summer and fall.
Are you ready for fall ladies?
Get The Look:
Hey divas, how are you doing out there in this blazing heat? No joke I’m so irritated because I want my hair braided so bad, I want to rock a baiting suit 24/7 and drink pina colads, eat fresh fruit, seafood and fruit all day lol. I know random request but maybe that my #hotgirlsummer. Let’s get into this outfit
Look 1: 70’s Flashback
I just love a cute blouse that can be worn as multiple ways and this one is perfect. First up this lovely pink snake print blouse can be worn on or off the shoulder like I am here. It’s from New York & Company and it’s a very light weight material that can be easily transitioned into the fall. I paired this blouse with these high waisted flare legged Eva Mendes jeans. ladies these jeans fit me like whoa, however although they are true to size they are very long. So if your short like me either wear heels or have them altered! Since I’m not back into my heels yet i opted for these blushing pink Michael Kors tennies that I snatched from TJMaxx. Did you peep my matching little belt bag that’s also MK. that was a super find at TjMaxx as well. DOn’t forget my cute sun hat that’s from Walmart. You all know I love a good sun hat especially on these extremely hot summer days.
Look 2: Cali Vibes
I call this my cali vibes only because I am wearing pink shorts ha! Pink shorts for some reason remind me of my birth place cali. Maybe because my mom always had pink.. always talked about pink shorts or maybe just because! Anyways This year I made it a point to get me some pink shorts and these matched perfectly with my blouse. These shorts are high waisted which make them perfect for crop top and for tucking in cute tops like this. I wanted a chill look so I keep my same accessories!
It that’s simple. Remember don’t be afraid to mix and match one article of clothing you have to create different looks. This is how you achieve the look of having more than what you actually have in your closet. Trust me I have gone years with mixing and matching and I always get your closet must be huge.. do you spend your entire paycheck on clothes.. No No No, I’m just good at faking it till you make it and in my eyes I have made it.. maybe not to the tip top but I am exactly where i’m supposed to be. Okay divas until next time stay sweet!
