Hey divas, I’m back with a special collaboration today. I am collaborating with some of my soul sisters. I have been living in Georgia for 4 years now and honestly I’m just now finding true friends that share the same love for fashion of course, women empowerment, self love, morals, values and standards. This collaboration is special because this is a collaboration with my new ATL girl squad our theme… can you guess?
Okay so here are 5 reasons why you need a #girlsquad.
- Accountability: Have women in your squad that will hold you accountable. Somobeone that will make sure you ar doin g what you should and not what you think.
- Friendship: We all need love and friendship. But friendship with a set of women that make you live, laugh and love and that will be honest about what you say, or wear. Yep then that’s a friend. I am the type of person that will pick lint from your head, place your shirt tag back inside your shirt. I’m loyal and I cherish my friends.
- unique balance: the ladies in my squad all are unique. We all bring different qualities and attributes that make us all different but provides a central balance amongst us all. Ladies let’s be real it’s known for us not to get along…. let me say it again… we are known to be petty shady and yes double cross each other if it benefits ourselves. However surround yourself around women who value you and will be that balance in your life. For example you always. Red hat silly one in the group because when you are down you can always count on that one person to make you smile! I amknow for being an over the top diva. But these ladies are also over the top diva in their own way and I absolutely love it.
- Growth: this is very important. As I look back over the years I can definitely see my growth in life… and you should too. But that didn’t just happen because of me. 1. Is God of course. 2. Family 3. My girl squad. Make sure you have people who are always pushing you to do better. Just as much as you empowering them. We all have dreams and goals and yes life gets hard. But we are all in thsinto win! Even if winning means making it till tomorrow. It always good to have long and short term goals to achieve and make sure your girls hold you accountable!
- Empower: this go hand in hand with growth. In order to grow you must be empowered. Who or what do you find inspiration from. My true inspiration has come from my other and as I meet more beautiful young women I beocme more empowered. Empowered to do better, to do more, to empower other women to love the skin their in…. yep that’s my tag line for my blog! But it trust love you and you will be able to have a bomb girl squad!
- Is my bonus most of all have fun. Life is so short and life happens daily. Don’t get caught in a rut. Live tou life to the fullest and why not do that with your girl squad!
I am sure you all are dying to find out all the details on our outfits. As I mentioned in one of my earlier blogs that animal is trending for this fall and winter. So me and the girls decided to do our own take on how we would style animal print.
Up first me of course. I decided to do a simple all black 2 piece outfit. If you know me I love 2 piece outfits. I see them as very versatile and you can make endless options by matching th skit or top with with a different item in your closet. This 2 piece out comes from New York and Company from the Eva Mendes collection. The top is actually a bodysuit and I usually wear a size xsmall but this fits small. I had to size up.
I decided to add leopard print assecories with a belt and earrings from Rue 21, purse was gifted but it’s Betsy Johnson, and my oh so lovely booties from ShoeDazzle.
Thats it keep it simple and classy.

My girl Kisha is all thing classy and vintage. I truly love how she always stays true to her self and always breaks the “fashion boundaries” in a unique way. I had no idea what any of these ladies were going to wear but we all decided that Black was a good common ground in out outfits. I love how she took a classic look of a pinstripe ruffle coloutte with a high neck blouse. She added the leopard print with her bag and shoes and don’t forget her cute fishnet bow socks. For more details on her look check out her blog and make sure to follower her Instagram for daily inspiration
I will forever say that’s Daniesha does an amazing job with mixing basics with classy pieces. This is an area I lack in. So I have definitely been taking some tips from her. I love how she took a simple screen T-shirt and jazzed it up with this lovely circle leopard print skirt. She topped this look off with a cute hat, knee high boots and the perfect little purse. Find out all the sweet details on her blog by clicking here make sure to follow her on Instagram to get daily inspiration.

Hey divas, it’s been a while. But guess what it’s fall! I can’t get too excited because it’s still hot here in Georgia. That doesn’t mean you can’t get you cool vibes on in the heat.
There’s are many trending prints for this fall and winter. To name a few: animal print particularly leopard print, plaid, embroidered florals. Some hot pieces include, long maxi shirt dresses that can be used as a dress or a disputed over jeans. Also, printed leggings, long coats, and just about anything with sequins. Let’s not for get the booties. Booties have been reinvented from heel height, colors and prints. With this being said let’s dive into these outfit details.
Who doesn’t love denim on denim with a pop of leopard print. Well that’s exactly what I did with this look. When I saw this denim button down, bow tie midi dress I had to have it. Ladies it’s not a heavy denim mire like a chambray but great for fall or winter. You. An easily dress this up or down. Open the front and wear a cute top and jeans of your choice underneath you literally will have 2 looks in one. Dress can be found exclusively at New York and Company from the Eva Mendes collection.
Can we take a minute for these patchwork booties. Yaaasssss believe it or not these are very comfortable. I love the peep toe and these different color of denim on this bootie. Head on over to shoedazzle right now before this shoe is gone.
I decided to pop this denim with leopard print, earrings ,purse and belt. Like I said you can take a simple outfit and jazz it up with a print. What styles are you most excited about this fall and winter.

I’m kicking it off with this royal blue and black knit striped dress. Ladies let me first off by saying the quality is amazing and so is the fit. This dress will definitely hug every curve on your body.
I love dresses like this as they are easy and always make you look like you put effort into your outfit. I decided to pair this dress with pops of color such as red and white. I added these red vibrant earrings, red shades and a color block chevron print bag. My shoes are old from JustFab but are such a classic as they give the stripe effect to my feet!!!

Many of my followers have requested I do a work wear blog. So that’s exactly what I’ll do! My question for you is… are you a girl boss? What makes you a boss, what goals have you set for yourself and how do you plan to execute your goals. Well while you think about that in order to be a boss you have to dress like one.
To be honest I have always liked classy, professional clothing the majority of my. Loathing was made up of it. I have finically mastered sizing and fit that’s perfect for me. Here’s a helpful tip try to shop at department stores even the “pricey” stores you can always find coupons, discounts and sales. I recommend this because the fit for this type of clothing will ultimately fit better than the cheaper stores. I recommend checking out New York & Company, The Loft Outlet, Express and Macys.
Let’s get into this outfit. So the mall near me just opened up a new Loft Outlet and I was so excited!! Since we are headed into fall I totally bypassed all of the sweet summer discounts…. well maybe for now. I first found these tailored straight leg off blue almost grey pants. Ladies I got these in a size 0 and they fit perfectly.
I found this matching white blouse also on clearance but offered a pop of yellow and mint green that goes great with the pants. To top this look off I found a matching cardigan. I am forever old especially in the office. I swear I need to go cardigan shopping! I paired this outfit with my teal Coach bag and white heels.
How will you be stepping into work? This outfit says hi I am here ready to work with some class.
Hi Divas it’s Monday! do you have your game face on? Well I sure do. Have you ever made a decision based upon what’s best for you? I want you to sit back and reflect on what have you done for you lately? Yep thats right Janet said it best.. “What have you done for me lately.. I just flipped it and said what have you done FOR YOU lately” Let me know what drives you to make goals and decisions and who you intend to execute them. Executing a dream a goal or plan can sometimes be scary. Trust me I know, bt in shelling run if you stay prayerful and are confident in what you are doing God will lead you down the right path.
Okay now let’s get into this sweet peachy outfit! This ruffly dream dress is from Dillard’s. It immediately caught my eye. One great thing about dullards the sizing is perfect. I try to stick with petites if i can if i have to get a regular I buy a 0.

Let’s get this straight I may love in the south but my California 619 Taco eating Mexican candy loving loves the beach but can’t swim fashionable tail will never loose her Cali swag 😆. Just had to clear that up!
Now let’s get into this sweet outfit. Ladies do you shop at Dillard’s? Dillard’s is like Nordstrom’s or an upper scale Macys. Prices are high but the clothes are amazing. If you have been following my blog, you know that I usually shop at Dillards once a year for the a,aging New Year sale. Well just a week ago they had An amazing end of the summer season sale, usually this sale is for men. I usually take my husband, which I did but this time I said let me just glance At the women’s section. And boooooooommm amazing deals and clothes to pick from.
This stunning Gianni Bini floral ruffle dress immediately caught my eye. I honestly passed over it thinking that it was unaffordable. My husband said what are you doing at least try it on. Once I had it in that was it. I couldn’t pass it up. I snag this gorgeous dress for $38 regularly $169. Now on sale for $55 which is still a bargain.
I paired this dress with a simple white clutch and these metallic baby blue mikes from JustFab. This dress doesn’t need much as it makes a stat,en ton it’s own. Now all I. Red is my girls and a tea party to attend. Here’s to a new week divas
Xoxo happy fashion.
Hey Divas it’s been a while. I was traveling for work and unfortunately I caught a nasty bug that put me under the weather. I’m still recovering but had to hope back on to give you all some inspiration! First off happy Monday and let’s aim to make this week count!
Just FYI you will be seeing me style these gorgeous black wide leg pants! Because I am very petite and I love to create the illusion of long legs, hip, and a booty and these pants do the trick! I picked up these beauties from TJ Maxx for only $16… now that’s a super bargain. I paired these pants with my crochet Eva Mendes tank from New York & Company. It is true I’m one of those people that gets cold very easily, so I typically carry a sweater of som sort. This longline floral kimono was the perfect match for this outfit. I picked this beauty up from Charming Charlie for $8.
This outfit is truly down me on a budget. I topped this look of with a black wide brim sun hat from H&M and my cream faux suede caged heels from JustFab. This look can be taken from day to night, or work to play. Take your pick.
How do you style wide leg pants? Xo happy fashion divas.
We all draw inspiration from somewhere or someone. I remember growing up getting my first job at Seaworld with one of my best friends and earning our very first paycheck! We were so excited and all we could think about was going shopping! That’s exactly what we did. My mom took us to the San Ysidro Outlet is San Diego, CA. We shopped at Papaya the Nike outlet, Forever 21 and a few other stores. I saw this because we were totally bestie to the point we bought matching outfits. I am going to try my hardest to find some pictures of us matching! okay So I couldn’t find it.. Vanessa if you got it send it over lol!!
Today I don’t find myself matching with any women but gaining inspiration from my blogger sisters. Today I took some classy and fashionable inspo from my blogger sister Danni Howard the Modern.Day.Classic. She’s super fun, has a great classy style but makes it modern for the everyday women! I totally love it and her.
With that being said dive into this classic look.
I love stripes, from pants, jackets, blouses purses. Stripes can add pop to a classic look or make you look bold and edgy! In this case. I found these crop wide leg split ankle paperbag pants… (whew that was a lot) from TJMAXX. These light weight pants serve for a blend between going to work and or a weekend vibe. I paired these pants with a simple chiffon tank blouse also from TJMAXX for only $7.99!
Keeping this look simple and classy, I chose to pair this outfit with complimentary blush pink block heels. My odd shape shiny pink bag is a perfect match. Both heels and purse are from Justfab.
I’m in love with this look and if I had pink espadrilles I would have wore them just like Danni did!Let me know if you style an outfit like this or how would you style your stripe pants?

I truly am a grandma at heart. I have always been called an old soul, or the little old lady from Pasadena-that my sister calls me. But this outfit truly take me to my inner old lady. why because this is something my mom or grandma would wear. My mom isn’t an old lady but she’s a grandma so she fits into that category!
This outfit is not made for old women but just embraces that old ole 70’s vibes mixed with modern flare. Eva Mendes does a great job with embracing her culture, heritage and inspirations form her loved ones. I absolutely love this denim chambray ruffle skirt. It comes with a denim belt, and lime green and purple buttons down the front. I can’t get enough of this carmel colored crochet sleeveless top. It is so light weight and just goes perfectly with this skirt.
I topped this look off with my colorful head wrap from Bold looks and headwraps, a crochet side satchel and matching brown block heels.
This look is so simple and cute and can be worn anywhere.. I just may wear this to work this week :)!

Random question, what is your favorite animal? Mine just so happens to be giraffes. I love how gracefully they walk, how tall they are, their wonderful spotted print and of course their bold eyes with those long eyelashes. I honestly believe that where us human got the idea of elongating mascara from!
If you guessed that I was drawn to this dress because of the print. You are absolutely right. It looks like a colorful giraffe to me. I have been on the hunt for several maxi dresses and this one satisfied my fashion sweet tooth. This dress is from New York and Company the Eva Mendes line of course!
This maxi dress is great for many reason.
- It’s long… if it wasn’t it wouldn’t be a maxi dress (duhh)
- Very light material
- Thin under lining,
- Awesome rope detailing around the waist and acts as straps
- Multi color print
You know my theme for this summer is in living color and this tops off this them. I will admit that this dress is extra extra long. I am 5’3 1/2 so I pulled out my 5″ JustFab purple fringe heels with this dress. I will most likely have this tailored so it’s not dragging on the floor. Topping this look off with my orange fringe purse and yellow beaded earring form JcPenny will definitely have heads turning. This dress is great for a hot summer day, week-ending, and of course a hot date. Take you pick!
How would you style this dress? Happy monday loves Kick this week off in color!
