10 Things To Do while At Home

Hey beautiful lady bugs. Fun fact did you know lady bugs and giraffes are some of my favorite insects and mammals. Random I k ow however this is lady bug season aka spring. Unfortunately right now we truly can’t enjoy Gods creation. No worries I am truly finding ways to reflect on Gods promises.

Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him

I am currently working from home and working harder than ever before. This is not my first time working from home however the anxiety that COVID-19 has caused has made this expert so much different. Below are a few things to do during this time.

  1. Pray: praying has been so therapeutic for me. As I will never truly know why God does certain things. But this is not for me to question but to be still and listen.
  2. Take a walk: many parks have closed down here in Georgia but taking a walk in your neighborhood will suffice. Make sure to get some fresh air.
  3. Spring clean: yaull are about to see some winter stuff on my Poshmark! There’s so much I didn’t wear that has got to go. Make sure to follow me as I do another closet clear out!
  4. Read a book: when was the last time you picked up a good book and read the entire book? It’s been about 10 years for me which is sad. I used to be a book some. Now is the time to get back on it. I am taking recommendations.
  5. Write out your goals: as things has shifted. Write out some of your goals you would like to accomplish when this is all over.
  6. Educate yourself: learn something new. There’s tons of feee classes online, YouTube and other sites.
  7. Home projects: finish up those home remodeling or those small projects you been meaning to get too.
  8. Rest: lord knows we all need some rest.
  9. Take up a new hobby/ workout: I used to paint, I think I may start doing that again. Just because the gym is closed that doesn’t mean you can’t workout at home.
  10. Remain Calm!: this too shall pass

I hope these tips have been helpful. Now let’s get into this outfit. Oh yes and just because we are stuck inside that doesn’t mean you can’t be cute. Im sorry but I’ve always had a hard time being in the House in sweats or my pjs. Now don’t get me wrong when I am chilling I like to say I have fashionable lounge wear. I can’t apologize, it’s just the diva in me.

I am totally loving color and textures right now. My crochet sweater offers a ton of texture with is peplum and flower knot details. This was on clearance at Zara last season. However you can find this sweater on Poshmark or I will leave some similar selections below. My jeans- yaull have been going crazy about these beauties and yes I snagged them for $20 at Fabrik. They are still on sale but with limited sizes left. No worries distressed jeans are totally in right now. These cute cheetah print separate another fab find from Fabrik snagged these on super sale for $24. Espadrilles. I threw on a cute straw bag and my Betsey Johnson cat eye shades and I’m out… or should I say I’m in?

Stay safe and as always xoxo happy fashion!

To keep it totally real with you, My fiancé contacted me at 2:30 pm while  I was at work and said we have a “date night” engagement to be at by 6:00 pm. What would any female do? PANIC! I immediately knew I was going to wear this dazzling velvet off the shoulder dress From New York & Company. The red against the velvet print makes this dress pop!

Now for my footwork of course I pulled out my faux suede lace up “Kateryna” heels from JustFab. These shows gave just enough sexy and comfort.  I opted to bring my satchel red Kenneth Cole purse, which gives me enough space to carry my extra “knick knacks”. Ladies if you are ever in a hurry make sure you have a few staple dresses and shoes like this in your wardrobe! xo Happy Fashion Divas.

Atlanta Ice Cream Festival

Hey Diva’s

The sun is shinning bright it’s just the right temperature for a fun festival. I had the opportunity this weekend to attend the Atlanta Ice Cream Festival. It’s a family fun day with local creamers, tons of games, booths, and food. The Ice Cream Festival happens every year at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park located by the “Park Tavern Restaurant”. I had the opportunity to indulge in childhood popsicle, creamy homemade Caribbean ice cream and BBQ. I maybe skinny but yes I sure did eat..eat and eat. So lets dive right into all the fun festivities.

My First Stop Childhood Ice Cream

So I absolutely love ice cream popsicle. I remember walking home from school and the popsicle “man” or ice cream truck would be waiting at the corner for all the little kids. My eyes would light up when I would see the hello kitty, power puff and other cartoon character popsicle. I had to have one! Yes yes I had a flash back.. So I ended up getting a Sponge-Bob since they didn’t have my beloved Power Puff girl. Who many of you guys or girls love these??

Second Stop Face-Painting

SO this festival just brought back tons of childhood memories for me. Yes I was that kid who want the pretty little princess face paint and never got it. Whelp He went nothing! These amazing ladies painted my face with glitter drops. Yes, I thought I was smoking hot!!

Did Someone Say BBQ??

So I couldn’t resist the sweet tangy BBQ smell from the local Williamson Bros BBQ Restaurant. I ordered the rid sandwich. Which came with 3 large pieces of ribs and 2 hamburger buns and a Large sweet tea! Yep now this is good eating.. Check them out!

Random Festivities

It’s not a festival if you don’t meet random people and things.. So I met a lemon and Knight  proposed to me. HA! to funny..

Homemade Caribbean Ice Cream

So I stood in line for almost 45 minutes to taste this homemade Caribbean ice cream. I had to have it because I remember my grandmother making homemade ice-cream for us. So I knew this was going to be good. I reluctantly ordered the butter pecan flavor. Oh man was this ice cream like heaven, so creamy and rich it was well worth the wait!

My Festival Outfit

This blog wouldn’t be complete If I didn’t share my look for the day.

Printed High-waisted Pants (Similar). These pants were purchased from TJmaxx for $19.99. Ladies these pats are out everywhere. I have been wanting a pair of these for the summer and I finally found the right ones. I love the print and that they are high-waisted. These are very long but I don’t mind it adds to the bohemian look I was going for.

Dark Blue Blouse: I snagged this sleeves blouse from Burlington Coat Factory for $9.99. I love tops like this because they can be dressed up or down. They are very relaxed and cool for the summer.

Glowing Rhinestone Sandals: So Rack Room Shoes was having a BOGO 1/2 off shoe sale. I saw these sandals for $9.99 so I bought two and got this pair for only $5.99. Ladies this shoe was originally $39.99. Hurry up and get yours they are still onside!!! What a steal!!

Liz Claiborne Side Satchel Purse (Similar): I have had this purse for a while it was a gift from my sister from Jcpenny. Side satchel purses can be purchased from just about anywhere. Hurry up and go find yourself one there’s tons of them on sale!
