Super Defined Curls Using Flexi Rods
Divas,
So my hair has gone flat and the humidity got to my hair from all of the Hot Atlanta Heat! So I decided to add some curl body and bounce to my hair. Flexi Rods are a great way to add curl and definition to your hair. I will be showing you how to get a super defined curl using flexi rods.
Products & tools
- Comb
- Hood Dryer (you can also air dry your hair, its totally up to you!)
- Lotta Body setting lotion
- Spray bottle
- Hair clips
- Flexi rods
- Oil of your choice
Tip: Pout 2 parts water and 2 parts Lotta Body into the spray bottle. This dilutes the Lotta Body since its very thick. it allows you hair to dry faster.
Step 1: make sure your hair is detangled make a part in the front of your hair. this is totally up to you.
Step 2: make a part in the back of your hair. Clip the rest of your hair up and away. divide that part into sections.
Step 3: Spary the Lotta Body onto one of the sections. Now take your flexi rod and begin wrapping the hair around the rod form the bottom. when you wrap your hair around the rod do a 360 degree turn and twist on the rod. (please view my video for more instructions)
Step 4: Repeat all over your hair. Sit under the hooded dryer or air dry. I ended up sitting under the hooded dryer but then I fell asleep.
Step 5: Untwist your hair off the rod. Once all the rods are out of your hair, add oil to your fingers and run all over your hair. The oil helps reduce frizz.
Step 6: Divide curls into smaller strands. make sure to separate each curl gently and curl it around your finger.
Step 7: Pick out your roots with a wide tooth comb. Shake and fluff!
Bam Super Defined Curls using flexi rods. Note that this was done on straightened hair.

I have put together all of my coach shoes that I have collected over a period of time. You will be shocked to know that Coach shoes can be found in many different department stores such as TJMaxx, Burlington Coat Factory, Dillard’s, Macy’s, Ross, & of course the Coach Outlet. So if you want to see my stylish Coach collection scroll down!
COACH Francesca Low Top Logo Sneaker
So I had been looking for a black pair of sneakers and when I saw these I had to have them. I purchased these from TJMaxx $45.00. What a super steal. I love the contracts between the black and the grey it make the “C’s” pop. They are very comfortable and true to size. The shoe came in a canvas material great for year around weather.
Ladies these rain-boots are to die for! So classic but edgy at the same time. The boot itself is made out of rubber making it waterproof for those raining days. The top shaft of the boot is made out of a leather water replant material that is decorated with the inverse khaki and brown print. The back is laced with brown string that is topped of with COACH engraved studded caps. The inside is lined with fur making it soft comfortable and warm for the winter. This boot is a must have for the winter! These rainbow were purchased from Macy’s for $99.00 on sale.
Authentic COACH Dee Dream C Sneaker
This COACH shoe is perfect for summer to jazz up any around the city outfit! This shoes has blues, pinks, pure and yellow making it easy to pair with solids and even prints. I tend to wear this shoe with jeans and a solid shirt. Making the shoe be the center of attention. The shoe is very comfortable and try to size. This shoe is a canvas material, once again making it easy to remove stains. Purchased from the Coach Outlet for only $30.00!
COACH Folly Signature Blue Green Canvas patent Sneaker
Feeling a little on the classic side with the brown “C’s” Bam lets spice it up with some blue and green. This shoe is very stunning and is a must for your shoe-drobe! So I wanted a shoe that was the typical brown Coach but with a little spice. When I saw this shoe sitting in TJMaxx it said “mean” pick me! and the price of $45 was just right! Ladies do I really need to say how comfortable this shoe is and the canvas material…. You already know!
Give me 2 pair, I need 2 pair so I can get to stomping in my Air-Force COACH!! lol okay okay yes back in the day I used to rock Air-Force 1’s. But who didn’t! So I have upgraded to the all white metallic Coach sneakers. These babies are so fresh for the summer. The metallic “C’s” shimmer when the sun hits it and twinkle as you walk. For appealing to the eye when paired with a simple white-T and jeans or white tennis skirt. The all white sneaker was purchased from Burlington Coat Factory for $49.00, and can most likely still be found in stores today. Don’t wait these were flying off the shelf like hot cakes!
So this red and brown beauty is what started off my COACH shoe fetish. It’s the oldest in the bunch and still looks pretty new! I made the mistake and wore these in the rain and the suede toe screamed why!!! However the red on this shoe screams fire. I love to pair this shoe with jeans, and/or khaki shorts. Very simple but still classy. Purchased from TjMaxx for $49.00
Hot Pink Flats
So these perfect pink flats were purchased from Dillard’s during the after New Years sale for $50.00. This shoe is very comfortable and adds color to any outfit of your choice. I am sorry to announce that I can’t find this shoe anywhere online. I encourage you to shop around because Coach has other lovely hot pink flats out for the summer
Laser Neon Yellow Flats
These razor laser neon yellow walking flats were purchased from Burlington Coat Factory for $45.00. These shoes I had seen them 2 seasons ago and never got them and i recently saw them in the store and had to have them. Once again you will have to go into the store to find these because they are no longer online. The fit is a bit snug but doesn’t bother me.
I hope you have enjoyed traveling in COACH with me! Make sure to check out the video below and Like and subscribe to my Channel.

Summer Hat Look Book
Hello Divas,
I am so excited about this summer-hat ‘look book’ I have put together. I absolutely love the summer weather. Floppy hats are great for a day in the park, lunch date and just for jazzing up a summer look. Most hats are going to start off at $20.00, however since I am bargain shopper all of my hats were purchased under $10.00. So let’s grab a hat and add some sass to your outfit!
Citrus orange with a touch of pink
This orange, pink and tan hat was purchased from Charming Charlie for only $4.99. The brim of this hat is stiff, but can be folded to your liking. The pink and orange is a bit of an odd combination, though it adds just enough pop to any solid outfit. I love this hat because it gives my head and shoulders good cover from the sun, but not my view of the summer fun!
Bright Stripes in White
Calvin Klein Blue & White Striped Metallic Sun Hat (Sold Out)
Ladies this hat is more of a classic fitted squared sun hat. It is perfectly tailored. There is a wire that is seamlessly inserted around the brim so that you can fold and bend the hat to your style. The royal blue can easily be mistaken for black, however the silver threading and white crisp lines at a touch of pop to this hat. I love to pair this hat with solids or other stripes to give it some flare.
Romantic Floral
I’m not ashamed to say it “If it’s a bargain, it’s a steal!” This fierce red hat hails from Wal-Mart! Am I serious? Indeed I am! Walmart has an assortment of summer hats and thanks to my friend Lani, she convinced me to purchase this hat. I am so glad I listened to her! This is a classic floppy hat. The brim is big and tends to flop on the sides leaving room for you to look out at the hot summer skies. The hat was purchased for only $7.99. This was a great find!
Busy Bumble Bee
If you are looking for a classy but sexy summer look, Ladies this is the look for you.
So, the story behind this hat is that I had to have it!! It’s absolutely gorgeous. But I wasn’t willing to pay $20.00 for it, so I waited until it hit the clearance rack and bam there it was for $4.99. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I purchased this black and yellow stripped hat from Charming Charlie that just happened to go great with my black and white stripped skirt! This hat is a traditional floppy hat that is stiff enough to bend and fold to your liking. The yellow band adds just enough jazz to this classic hat.

How to Braid a High Ponytail: Invisible Method
Divas,
If you are looking for a easy protective style for the summer this tutorial blog is for you! Please refer to video for an actual visual tutorial of how to do the invisible braiding method. So lets get right into the goodness.
Products used to achieve the look
- Combs: Denman brush, wide tooth comb, rat tail comb
- Oil: BB light hair growth oil (used for the scalp), Argon oil to seal in moisture
- Hair Clips
- Hair tye
- Blow dryer
- Cantu Shea butter: Natural Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave in conditioner, Heat protectant
- Foam wrap
- Kanekalon braiding hair (Silky Jumbo braid)
Step 1: Wash and condition hair
Step2: Part hair into sections and apply leave in conditioner and heat protectant. DOn’t forget to tangle the hair when doing this step. Use the wide tooth comb and/or denman brush.
Step 3: Blow dry hair. Ladies I like to blow dry my hair or my clients hair when I am doing braided styles it makes it easier for me to to manage the hair. Please place your blow dryer on a temperature that is safe for your hair. I like to use either 200-350m degrees depending on what style i am trying to achieve.
Step 4: Part the hair from ear to ear in a horizontal line. This will play as a guideline for where the braids need to meet.
Step 5: Make your first part. I start my first part on the right side by the ear. This will act as a guide for the rest of my braids
Step 6: Divide synthetic hair into 4 different size strands. you first 2 strands should be very thin the other 2 pieces should be medium size. (please refer to video)
Step 7: Start off by braiding natural hair first. Grab a piece of the thin synthetic hair and add it into the hair. braid again and add another. You will want to add the hair as you braid on. Continue to braid the hair all the way down.
Step 8: Braid entire head.
Step 9: once you hair braided all of the hair oil the scalp in-between each braid. Pull all of the braids into a ponytail.
Step 10: Boil water. Dip the ends of the hair into the water to seal the hair. (Caution!!! make sure you have a towel handy to dry the hair. Note if this is yoghurts time doing this ask for help!!! the water will be very hot and you don not want to burn your client or yourself)
Step 11: Apply foam wrap to hair. Wrap your hair with a silk wrap and dry the hair for about 5-10 minutes. Apply argon oil to seal the hair.
And that is it!!! Easy summer protective style!!!
