A Hint of Yellow
Being out and about doesn’t mean you have to run around in sneakers and leggings. I wanted to give a pop of color to the grey day! My sweater has pops of yell teal and blues that are sprinkled throughout.. Unfortunately this jazzy chic sweater hails from The Limited that recently went out of business. So Sad no worries you can find sweaters that look just like this one.. I paired it with one of my favorite JustFab flared jeans. To stay warm in this minimal look I added my favorite grey faux fur leather grey Moto jacket.
To top off this look I wore my vibrant yellow “granny” boots and a mini yellow purse. This look is fun and ket me warm on this cold grey day.. xox Happy Fashion Divas

Knee High Boots
I am petite, thin, skinny however you want to say it, I choose to embrace the skin I am in! It’s hard for me to follow the “new” trends since my body type doesn’t fit into everything. However I have had these knee high Shoedazzle boots for 2 years now and have never worn them.. particularly because the calf part was too big for my leg.. so I made it work.. Since 2 years ago I have gained a couple pounds and I used my handy leg warms to help fill up the empty space 🙂 hey a girl has to learn how to work it!
I paired these burgundy mixed media boots with a simple skinny soho jean from New York & Company and of couple a complimentary matching Eva Mendes turtle neck. To top off this look I added a neutral with my camel pea-coat that I thrifted and my favorite plaid blanket scarf!
This outfit was simple cute and sexy all at the same time! Xox Happy Fashion Divas!

Ladies a Sweater dress is great for the fall it can be dressed up or down. This white and Black Stripe sweater dress hails from JcPenny. It its 100% cotton and will fit your body like a glove. Atlanta Ice Cream Festival
Hey Diva’s
The sun is shinning bright it’s just the right temperature for a fun festival. I had the opportunity this weekend to attend the Atlanta Ice Cream Festival. It’s a family fun day with local creamers, tons of games, booths, and food. The Ice Cream Festival happens every year at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park located by the “Park Tavern Restaurant”. I had the opportunity to indulge in childhood popsicle, creamy homemade Caribbean ice cream and BBQ. I maybe skinny but yes I sure did eat..eat and eat. So lets dive right into all the fun festivities.
My First Stop Childhood Ice Cream
So I absolutely love ice cream popsicle. I remember walking home from school and the popsicle “man” or ice cream truck would be waiting at the corner for all the little kids. My eyes would light up when I would see the hello kitty, power puff and other cartoon character popsicle. I had to have one! Yes yes I had a flash back.. So I ended up getting a Sponge-Bob since they didn’t have my beloved Power Puff girl. Who many of you guys or girls love these??
Second Stop Face-Painting
SO this festival just brought back tons of childhood memories for me. Yes I was that kid who want the pretty little princess face paint and never got it. Whelp He went nothing! These amazing ladies painted my face with glitter drops. Yes, I thought I was smoking hot!!
Did Someone Say BBQ??
So I couldn’t resist the sweet tangy BBQ smell from the local Williamson Bros BBQ Restaurant. I ordered the rid sandwich. Which came with 3 large pieces of ribs and 2 hamburger buns and a Large sweet tea! Yep now this is good eating.. Check them out!
Random Festivities
It’s not a festival if you don’t meet random people and things.. So I met a lemon and Knight proposed to me. HA! to funny..
Homemade Caribbean Ice Cream
So I stood in line for almost 45 minutes to taste this homemade Caribbean ice cream. I had to have it because I remember my grandmother making homemade ice-cream for us. So I knew this was going to be good. I reluctantly ordered the butter pecan flavor. Oh man was this ice cream like heaven, so creamy and rich it was well worth the wait!
Dancing!
And yes I couldn’t help but dance to the african & reggae music that was being played!
My Festival Outfit
This blog wouldn’t be complete If I didn’t share my look for the day.
Printed High-waisted Pants (Similar). These pants were purchased from TJmaxx for $19.99. Ladies these pats are out everywhere. I have been wanting a pair of these for the summer and I finally found the right ones. I love the print and that they are high-waisted. These are very long but I don’t mind it adds to the bohemian look I was going for.
Dark Blue Blouse: I snagged this sleeves blouse from Burlington Coat Factory for $9.99. I love tops like this because they can be dressed up or down. They are very relaxed and cool for the summer.
Glowing Rhinestone Sandals: So Rack Room Shoes was having a BOGO 1/2 off shoe sale. I saw these sandals for $9.99 so I bought two and got this pair for only $5.99. Ladies this shoe was originally $39.99. Hurry up and get yours they are still onside!!! What a steal!!
Liz Claiborne Side Satchel Purse (Similar): I have had this purse for a while it was a gift from my sister from Jcpenny. Side satchel purses can be purchased from just about anywhere. Hurry up and go find yourself one there’s tons of them on sale!

Summer Hat Look Book
Hello Divas,
I am so excited about this summer-hat ‘look book’ I have put together. I absolutely love the summer weather. Floppy hats are great for a day in the park, lunch date and just for jazzing up a summer look. Most hats are going to start off at $20.00, however since I am bargain shopper all of my hats were purchased under $10.00. So let’s grab a hat and add some sass to your outfit!
Citrus orange with a touch of pink
This orange, pink and tan hat was purchased from Charming Charlie for only $4.99. The brim of this hat is stiff, but can be folded to your liking. The pink and orange is a bit of an odd combination, though it adds just enough pop to any solid outfit. I love this hat because it gives my head and shoulders good cover from the sun, but not my view of the summer fun!
Bright Stripes in White
Calvin Klein Blue & White Striped Metallic Sun Hat (Sold Out)
Ladies this hat is more of a classic fitted squared sun hat. It is perfectly tailored. There is a wire that is seamlessly inserted around the brim so that you can fold and bend the hat to your style. The royal blue can easily be mistaken for black, however the silver threading and white crisp lines at a touch of pop to this hat. I love to pair this hat with solids or other stripes to give it some flare.
Romantic Floral
I’m not ashamed to say it “If it’s a bargain, it’s a steal!” This fierce red hat hails from Wal-Mart! Am I serious? Indeed I am! Walmart has an assortment of summer hats and thanks to my friend Lani, she convinced me to purchase this hat. I am so glad I listened to her! This is a classic floppy hat. The brim is big and tends to flop on the sides leaving room for you to look out at the hot summer skies. The hat was purchased for only $7.99. This was a great find!
Busy Bumble Bee
If you are looking for a classy but sexy summer look, Ladies this is the look for you.
So, the story behind this hat is that I had to have it!! It’s absolutely gorgeous. But I wasn’t willing to pay $20.00 for it, so I waited until it hit the clearance rack and bam there it was for $4.99. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I purchased this black and yellow stripped hat from Charming Charlie that just happened to go great with my black and white stripped skirt! This hat is a traditional floppy hat that is stiff enough to bend and fold to your liking. The yellow band adds just enough jazz to this classic hat.
Happy Hat Shopping Divas!
