Have you ever felt lost in a crowd..not noticeable almost like you are invisible? I have found that many people feel this way, I know I have. Finding your voice is one of many factors to self love.
My twin aka my mom often would say never loose your voice. Coming from a broken family household I often saw my mother’s voice being limited. I didn’t understand her words then, but I often found myself trying to fit in with the latest fashion…that never looked good on me. It wasn’t until I was in undergrad at Norfolk State University when I realized, I can’t run to the store and just buy anything.. There’s an actual science, remedy a method to this. Once I developed my own style, this is when my voice developed.
Since then my style has changed and has become more fashionable but it relates to who I am creatively. To me fashion is art! Your voice is not just the words that you speak but by the way you creatively express yourself. Once I found my voice, I feel alive, bold and I love myself just that much more.
Growing up in the inner city of San Diego California, I was not exposed to all of the many arts, high society clubs, luxury cars and many other things. I wouldn’t say I was raised in the ghetto. However my parents did the best they could. Well we did have the biggest house on the block and many people thought we were rich. Rich in money? No! But rich in style yes.. Both of my parents new how to dress and instilled that in my brothers and sisters. My mother would always tell me “Always dress to impress, you never know who you will met.” I intend to always dress my best.
Flashing into present day my husband was raised the same way however was exposed to luxury in many different ways. However we have the same mindset although we come form different locations and background! It amazing how you can meet someone who is just like you! My husband is an Aerospace Engineer, who loves all things, trains, plane and automobiles. He is a natural for tech gadgets and things that go fast. Totally opposite of me.
We were recently invited to the Bentley Reveal party of the all new Bentley Continental GT (Grand Touring). Let me give this car a moment of silence… Okay so when you think of Bentley you think of high class, fancy, red carpet right? Well I at least do and so does my husband. We didn’t know who we would meet let alone network with.. I of course dressed us both and figured, lace, and suede always look rich.
My outfit is from Dillards. this is one of the dresses i purchased during the New Year’s sale. I snag this beauty for more than a bargain! Te detailing on this dress is exquisite as it actually fades to different shade of burgundy. There’s a nice lining underneath that stops right at the knee leaving the rest of the lace see-thru. I paired this lace Antonio Melani dress with my burgundy suede JustFab heels. My husband was fitted in a matching burgundy blazer and black lapel.. fitted black slack pants and “custom” made shoes.. okay they are not custom made but the way they match this blazer one would think so.
For any car lovers out there check out the full Bentley Continental GT technical review form my husband Ben Wayne . Enjoy!
How has your past shaped your present? Are you more than grateful for thing your parents taught you even if you had access to luxury things in life? I am more than appreciative for what I did, didn’t and now have.

On this rainy day I thought it would be great to post this spring transitional inspired outfit. I’m over here struggling as we have had some beautiful spring days within the past few days.. and now it’s back to cold and raining. yuck! Come through Spring come through.
This is such a simple outfit for those on the go days. I took my simple all white zip Express blouse, topped it with a simple soft pink sweater kimono from Dress up. I had to jazz up this outfit with my distressed paint splattered jeans from NY & CO. I absolutely love these jeans, very fun and playful for spring and summer. I decided to stick with the soft pink for my shoes as these JustFab open toed lace up’s did the trick.
What’s on your outfit agenda this week?

It’s finally Friday Jr.! Have you ever looked on Pintrest and you see these glamorous bloggers in their cute skinny pants, simple blouse and heels? have you ever tried a look that and couldn’t master it? Well here is a simple way to do just that!
First you need to figure out what color you are in the mood for.. and if you do not have a wide range of color selections your closet, no worries pull out your best pair of jeans! In this case I chose my black skinny stretch jeans from NY & Company. The next step is to pick out a blouse or even a sweater, whichever is more appropriate for your climate. Since Georgia is currently transitioning to spring early I opted for my favorite animal print blouse. I love to be warm and since I work in an office I wanted to drape this look with royalty shall I say.. I fell like a million buck in this green velvet blazer that hails from Dillard’s! Now you already know what are the odds of finding green velvet? Very odd! But JustFab came through on these lovely velvet green pumps. Depending on your style you can wear heels, flats or boots depending on what best fits your personality for that day. It’s as simple as that. outfits made easy!

Welcome 2018. I am stepped into 2018 feeling fabulous, blessed and ready to conquer this year! I am liven my life like’s Golden! Jill Scott could not have said it better.. I had to start the new year off with this fun and sparkly outfit. Sponsored from NY&CO off the shoulder sweaters are still in trend and will be here through this year! The gold sparkle ombre effect is what caught my eye. The sweater is very soft and can be worn as a cowl neck or off the shoulder.
Ladies New York & Company has been killing it with the cutest jeans all year. I had to snag these beauties.. The gold foiling and distressing on the cuff of these jeans is the perfect match with this sweater. I didn’t stop there, my wedding “Nina” shoes added the icing on this outfit. Simple, cute and sexy. you can easily wear this outfit with a cute pair of boots or tennis shoes if heels aren’t your style. Kick off 2018 in style!

Who’s Happy it’s Friday?? Me Me me!!! I wanted to give you ladies an edgy chill look.. Okay so let’s jump right into the goodness. Starting with this fun graphic razor back tank top, I just love the softness of the crochet and the pastel colors. I paired it with a basic pair of light blue skinny jeans. To mix up this look I decided to wear these multi-color snack print heels. Added these retro pink glasses and my purple clutch purse. Mixing prints and colors is something I love to do.. Don’t be afraid to “dress” on the edge. Have a wonderful weekend xo Happy Fashion Divas.

This classic Daishiki was given imported from my hometown California from a vintage store in L.A. My lovely friend Nkechi snagged this for me for $18 (Nkechi’s look viewed on the right). This classic orange, yellow, black, purple and white daishiki is great for the summer. Its 100% cotton and light weight. Now this is one size fits all, however I am super petite and skinny so it fit like a dress on me. the cotton material is very thin so I wore a tank and a pair of jean shorts underneath. There are several stores you can order a daishiki from make sure to check out the link.
