Growing up in the inner city of San Diego California, I was not exposed to all of the many arts, high society clubs, luxury cars and many other things. I wouldn’t say I was raised in the ghetto. However my parents did the best they could. Well we did have the biggest house on the block and many people thought we were rich. Rich in money? No! But rich in style yes.. Both of my parents new how to dress and instilled that in my brothers and sisters. My mother would always tell me “Always dress to impress, you never know who you will met.” I intend to always dress my best.
Flashing into present day my husband was raised the same way however was exposed to luxury in many different ways. However we have the same mindset although we come form different locations and background! It amazing how you can meet someone who is just like you! My husband is an Aerospace Engineer, who loves all things, trains, plane and automobiles. He is a natural for tech gadgets and things that go fast. Totally opposite of me.
We were recently invited to the Bentley Reveal party of the all new Bentley Continental GT (Grand Touring). Let me give this car a moment of silence… Okay so when you think of Bentley you think of high class, fancy, red carpet right? Well I at least do and so does my husband. We didn’t know who we would meet let alone network with.. I of course dressed us both and figured, lace, and suede always look rich.
My outfit is from Dillards. this is one of the dresses i purchased during the New Year’s sale. I snag this beauty for more than a bargain! Te detailing on this dress is exquisite as it actually fades to different shade of burgundy. There’s a nice lining underneath that stops right at the knee leaving the rest of the lace see-thru. I paired this lace Antonio Melani dress with my burgundy suede JustFab heels. My husband was fitted in a matching burgundy blazer and black lapel.. fitted black slack pants and “custom” made shoes.. okay they are not custom made but the way they match this blazer one would think so.
For any car lovers out there check out the full Bentley Continental GT technical review form my husband Ben Wayne . Enjoy!
How has your past shaped your present? Are you more than grateful for thing your parents taught you even if you had access to luxury things in life? I am more than appreciative for what I did, didn’t and now have.

I would love to sip on a cup of ho tea and snuggle up in the bed with a fuzzy blanket.. However it’s Monday so that means we must conquer the week! Now that Thanksgiving is over it is not Christmas season. I kid you not hours after I ate dinner I put up my tree and decorated! I was not wasting anytime this year! I am probably more excited about this Christmas because it’s me and my husbands first Christmas! I will share a few of the personalized holiday decor items I recently purchased.
I am feeling a bit extra in the holiday season so all my outfits lately have been festive. This outfit I am wearing, everything is from New York & Company except for my favorite JustFab boots. NY & Company came with it this year with the hats and scarfs. I love hats with pom poms and this year the hat is one color and the pom pom is another.. eek I can’t wait to show you all my hat collection! The sweet cream and gold lacing in my sweater is so comfortable and long. I love sweaters that are long and cozy. I added this simple vest to match the beenie. Topped this look off with my super stretch jegging’s and my favorite pair of red laced camel boots! This look has me looking like a mean candy cane.

Do you ladies ever go thrifting? Well I must say thrifting for me is therapeutic.. it’s almost like a hunt or what great items will I find.. I have 2 hot spots I love to thrift and consign at. one is the GoodWill and another is a black owned thrift shop called Best Kept Secret. I have actually posted a few other items from BKS on the blog. BKS is actually black owned and if anyone knows I love supporting black owned businesses!
So lest get right into this furry outfit. Stating form head to toe, I purchased this fabulous fur vest from BKS. It’s originally from Chicos and it still have the $150 price tag on it! I love how the faux fur offers different neutral tones that is pared with a cream knit back and a leather belt. I placed a simple cream sweater underneath. my skirt is thirfted from the GoodWill. I love the grey wool blend with the gold sailor buttons. As it gets colder I will definitely wear tights with this but I thought my legs look good enough to wear with they extra high heel booties! I kept my accessories simple with a gold wrist-lit.
Don’t be afraid to go thrifting you never know what goodies you just may find.

Can I tell you that it’ is freezing here in Georgia and Iv’e been in my sweats, hoodies and boots! As I have mentioned before crushed velvet is in, when I saw these sneakers it took me way back in time.. All the way to when I was 16 working the concession stand at Sea World in California. These soft Rocket Dog tennis shoes reminded me when I used to sell cotton candy or should I said candy floss. There were always guest at the park that owned their own convenient stores, that would complain about the price of “candy floss” I can’t even lie the price was ridiculous, but at that time it’s either you want it or not.. I guess after working a little over a year, cooking cotton candy and going home smelling like sea lions and Shamu I should probably hate the smell of it.. Sadly I find myself sneaking tot eh dollar store for bags of cotton candy.
I paired these shoes with a soft heather grey sweat outfit. These sweat are soft, not to thick or thin, comes with lace detailing on the pants and the neck line. I places a simple pink “feeling Fierce” tee underneath and called it a day. this cotton candy winter outfit is perfect for running errands, staying warm or even lounging around the house!

BRRR… who felt that cold breeze this morning? Sometimes my best motivation is getting up and putting on “feel good” clothes.. That means a sophisticated look! Iv’e been in my chill mode lately and have not been featuring any of my classy looks!
I swear Eva Mendes always gets me right! With her timeless elegant looks, I truly have weakness for her designs. I am loving the color teal right now, as it’s one of the must have colors for fall and winter 2017! I actually have a similar all burgundy and a all white skirt and top assemble like this teal one. This cable knitted skirt loves to hug…or make you look like you have curves! The skirt is very stretchy and comfortable and honestly it’s the perfect length. I opted for the sleeveless ribbed turtleneck shell and draped with bell sleeve zip up jacket! This look can be worn with booties, pumps or like I did with these opened toed JustFab heels. I love adding prints with solids to give the look for character. xo Happy Fashion Divas!

Summer is still here in Georgia.. so excuse me while I try to channel the fall Fashion Gawds! let’s be real i love warm weather, however I am getting excited about all the endless fall fashion ideas I have roaming through my head..
Jumpsuits are perfect for mix and matching summer and fall items. This red-orange jumpsuits, has tailored skinny pants, a waist tie and a layered top. When I saw this it gave me Audrey Hepburn meets 2017! Because I am forever cold I needed a let’s say loud jacket to pair with this.. and that’s exactly what I found! This long line coat is from Romwe.com and was on clearance for $5. The animal print mixed with the many colors, is lined with brocaded subtle print. Topping this outfit with a matching orange-red lace up heel was eh perfect pair! My wrist-lit is actually called a charging wallet and these can be found in most retail stores!

Now let me here you say “Back, back forth and forth” Aye Aye.. I am having my own party it’s FRIDAY!!!
I am such in a chill mood right now that’s why this outfit is perfect for the first day of Fall! Red, black and white are always in style especially worn as sweats. Lace detailing and sweatshirts are a must have in your wardrobe this fall and winter! This popping red sweatshirt matches perfectly with the black joggers accented with a red and white stripe down the side. The sweatshirt is not originally cropped but this is giving me more of that 90’s Aaliyah vibe. This entire outfit is from NY&Co. For accessories, I decided to jazz this outfit with these leopard print Cole Haan slip on sneakers along with this leopard print clutch. The clutch was a bargain find at Hobby Lobby for $2!
Enjoy the first day of Fall and your weekend! Xo happy Fashion Divas.

First of all I would like to take a minute and let everyone know that my prayers and thoughts are with the islands, countries, cities that have been hit with deviation by the hurricanes and earthquakes. Whats sad is that I grew up in California and I do not fear earthquakes but just seeing the videos of what happened in mexico it literally turned my stomach! My husband and I we very fortunate that hurricane Irma was north of us so we only lost one beach day on our honeymoon. Thank you to everyone that reached out to us during that time.
Just a few weeks ago me and my husband sat beach side on the gorgeous island of St. Lucia. The amazing sites, food and the most friendliest people that this place has to offer it almost felt like paradise on earth. the Island of St. Lucia is rich with history culture and ultimately a great place to honeymoon!
Just about everyday we either took a dip in the ocean or we relaxed in one of the many pools that the Sandals Grande St. Lucia had to offer. Since this was my honeymoon I looked high and low for an affordable white bathing suit. But of course I reluctantly found one at JustFab. I love the lace detailing on this 2 piece tankini. To me I felt sexy without showing everything. It also came with adjustable/removable straps. this swimsuit comes in black or white and it’s actually still available.

I mean’t to post details on my engagement photo dress before my wedding.. However as everyone knows things can get a bit crazy while planning and executing a wedding.. let’s jump into the long overdue details of this look.
I love the look of lace.. hence I guess I was playing off the overall look and feel of my weddings because my wedding dress just happened to be lace as well. This lovely fit and flare black lace dress comes from Venus. Venus? not Venus Williams (lol) check out their website they have cute comfortable, sexy clothes and bathing suits.. you might just find something you like! This dress comes with a champagne undertone decked out with a small train.. ladies this dress is definite show stopper! I wore this on a dinner date with my superhero (my husband) and i was stopped more than 3 times! I kept my shoes simple with a closed toe faux sued tie up heels.
This dress is perfect for a hot date night.. red carpet event or of course for a stunning photo shoot.
